Police starts registration of Garotos de Programa in Zona Sul

Rio - The Delegacia Especial de Atendimento ao Turista (Deat: Special Tourist Police) and the Batalhão de Turismo (BPTur: Tourism Battalion) of the Polícia Militar (Military Police) have kicked off Operation Cinderela 2. Friday night, police agents checked strategic points in Zona Sul to register male hookers and transvestites to prevent assaults of foreigners in the city.

“The main purpose is to prevent robbery and theft of tourists, mainly involving the use of the so-called ‘Boa Noite, Cinderela’”, explained inspector Ronaldo Montalvão, Chief of Operations of DEAT. This year alone, at least 27 foreigners were drugged and subsequently robbed by male or female prostitutes.

Approx. 30 police officers participated in the operation, which was supported by a van of the Coordenadoria de Recursos Especiais (Office of the Coordinator of Special Resources). “They complained that we were taking them off the street and that they were losing money. But ultimately, they calmed down once we explained that this would also increase their own safety”, the inspector recounted. A group of three male prostitutes was found to carry a large knife in a back bag. “They were taken to the police station, but they claimed that the back bag was not theirs”, Mr. Ronaldo Montalvão confirmed.

In March, the police station had already conducted Operation Cinderela 1, during which female prostitutes were identified. During identification, the police discovered two women with a criminal rap sheet.

At the beginning of last month, Rick Gordon Pierce, a Canadian 49 years of age, died after drinking a chope to which, supposedly, a chemical substance had been added. During Operation Cinderela 2, the police tried to locate the male hooker who is suspected to have poisened the tourist, using a police sketch based on eyewitness reports. The suspect was not found, however.

Hey Tiger I just got back Tuesday and went to NUTH and was quoted a 100r price for entrance! Club Six down town was the best experience for off hobby clubs and I also hit Club URBANO in Sao Paulo it was a great experience I think I paid 20r entrance and the drinks were reasonably priced and actually put your ass down!

I also went to Olimpo on a wed night, this club is a Baile Frankie, Hip Hop and Pogodie music club, but mostly Frankie and the women get in free, on the night I went man it was probably easily 2000-3000 people in the joint. I was able to smuggle my camera in and have some video it's an awsome place, VIP section cost me a whole 20r to get a table and my tab at the end of the night was only 85r. Via show was the same experience but atleast 6000 people!

I didn't do Bombar this time but always a good experience but this club you went to I've never ventured to.

I like Frankie boy as much as the next guy, but I suppose you meant to say "baile funk" (pronounced "BYlee FUNkee") and "pagode" (pronounced "pahGODshee"), right?

Actually, I would like to hear more details about your "baile funk" experience. Did you go to one of the infamous ones in the dirt-poor suburbs (as your user name might suggest)? Where exactly was that? How was it?

Colombia is not doing us any better. Did you see how the rate has fallen below 2000 pesos/dollar? Damn. I'm down here in Lima now though. The black market is 3. 15 soles/dollar. You can get a decent hotel for $30/night. Last night on Pizza Street a chick offered me TLN for 100 soles. I told her to be real with me because I am not rich. I need some info on this night club in Ipanema. Few weeks ago I was there around 23:00 Saturday night and I was told it was 100r to get in. Of course I didn't belive them so I asked my brazilian friend to ask and he also got the same answer. I wanted to know if any one of you had been in it and to give some info about this place. I have been in many clubs I just never heard of 50usd to get in. I must say one thing the girls going in that place they were the best looking Victoria Secret type of models that I have ever seen.

The price is about right. I was there 2 years ago. I think that I pay about 80R. The price includes 2 drinks(I think). If you don't like to spend money, forget about pull non-pro chicks from this place. We spent about 600 US$ (2 guys and 2 girls) to have a table. We spend money left and right, tip every one. Waiter watched our stuff and the manager was introduced. We did get a lot of look from girls at other tables.

If 50 US$ is too much get in a club, you have not been to many clubs in big cities or Europe.

First, the prices of the hobby have not really increased over the past few years. It only seems to you to have increased because you are trying to compare it to your home currency when you should only be looking at it in terms of reais. When you look at it in reais you undoubtedly see that the prices have been flat.

Second, why be concerned if there is nothing you can do about it? Also, why would you think there would be a surge in the dollar against the real after Carnaval? Carnaval does not control exchange rates. Exchange rates are determined by the demand and supply of one currency relative to that of another blah blah blah...

No disrespect intenended but the price for EVERYTHING in RIO has in fact gone up Significantly.I inquired about the "surge" because other members seemed convinced that the real would stabilize at around 2.50 after Carnaval. Didnt happen.When one was has to make a decision between Colombia, DR, and Brazil, cost of living (even if it be for a week) has to be taken ito consideration for many of us who seek to maximize our experience and dollars while on vacation. Even Bubba Boy has acknowledged that its getting ridiculous down there. If living cost increase , it seems that the cost of poom poom would as well. Gradually if not drastically. Simply a theory (which has been proven true time and time again.)

i spent some time at the club florida thursday night, which is located at praça mauá, essentially at the end of rua acre, across from the police station. it's next door to another similar club, antarctica, and there is also a large outdoor cafe in front and at least one more in the area. for some reason, the taxi driver didn't know it automatically.

you should try florida again when there is a foreign ship in the port. the sailors attracts a lot of free-lancers to florida. visiting cruise ships is like christmas for the girls. on my visits to florida the girls dancing on the long stage have always been toppless and almost all of them had taken of their bottom parts.

the girls acting propably depends on the number of possible clients. they don't seem to care to make a good show for some of the local guys who just go there to peep and have one beer. when a bunch of gringos arrives they know there might be business and do their best to attract a client.

I spent some time at the Club Florida Thursday night, which is located at Praça Mauá, essentially at the end of Rua Acre, across from the police station. It's next door to another similar club, Antarctica, and there is also a large outdoor cafe in front and at least one more in the area. For some reason, the taxi driver didn't know it automatically.

Florida has been described as a strip club, but that's not entirely accurate. There are about a dozen girls in bikinis, but they seldom if ever take them off (I think I saw one girl topless, but it was so dark, it's hard to be sure.) There are two dance "floors"--one is a long area with two pairs of rails, and a very small traditional space with a pole. Sometimes the customers get up and dance with the girls. (White guys shouldn't dance.)

The best way to describe the place is a hostess club. There are cabines available, but I experienced no pressure to take one, and I didn't see anyone going upstairs. YMMV, but I had a really hot girl that sat down with me, we stroked and cuddled like high school students, no kissing, and she drank beer with me, with no demands at all for more expensive drinks.

I don't really understand the math, but we had seven Skols for R$58. In summary, Florida seems a relaxing place to hang out for a change of pace.

Hey Fellas,

I wanted some info on a girl named Denise. Met her on my last trip in Nov. 06. I was in Rio for 10 days. I ran through everything that caught my eye for the first 5 days. (Ranging from 1. 2 a day avg $200. $250 mostly overnighters) Met Denise in Help after that. My first session with her I drop $200R. Next morning She said she wanted to chill with me for the rest of the day. We went to the Beach had lunch and relax most of the day (by this time I was worn out so chillin was cool for me.) I mentioned to her in a roundabout way I know you have to make ends meet so if you have to roll I'll catch you next time. She said no and stated that she wanted to be with me. Cool no issue. Never had the Girl Friend experience before so I didn't mind it. She offered to cook dinner for me. Had My DVD player hooked up the TV and we watched movies all night. Had another session in the middle of the night and I was down for the count after that. Next morning she gets up cooks breakfast. Says she has to check on her son and asked if I wanted to see her again I said sure she said "then come with me". I had nothing on the planner for that day so I rolled with her. Went to her apartment (about a 15minute walk). Met the kid. The extended family and broke bread with them over at her crib. She took me to Campo. Now this was cool. Before I had never been outside Rio so it was cool to hop on the train and see parts of Rio I've never seen before. At this point I'm still waiting for that shoe to drop where she flips out and start demanding money for all the services and time spent (oh. Forgot to mention she washed my clothes too.) Long story short. This goes on for the rest of my stay. She never asked me for anything. Not even cab fare. When we go out I would pay for us of course but each time we came back to the apartment it was like the session was on the house. Before I left I just should my appreciation for such a good time I left $500R and about 4 NBA knockoff jerseys for the kid. (Which was still a bargin to me) She still emails me once in a while to see if I'm still living since my last visit. I plan on headed back in July. I know Ron had mentioned a few things about her and Josie running game. (Seen her and Josie the site on Myspace) So before I try to contact her when I get there wanted to know of any other crazy stories. Outsied of Ron's Buddy where I should proceed with caution or just close the book on that all together and be thankful I didn't get ganked?
