I am back from Rio. The forum has been very helpful. However, once you are down there everything is so apparent and there are many fellows around to exchange experiences that it will be easy to find out what is going on where.

I had made reservations at the Rio International Hotel initially. However, when I passed the hotel by taxi I decided to let the taxi driver give me a tour around first to see the location. I decided to take a room with sea view, which was charged with 380 R$ per night. Othon is next to Mataia Pata and the famous Help disco. The Copacobana in general is not that nice. After arrival I had a beer at Mataya Pata. In general I was somewhat disappointed by the general quality of the girls. Many very dark, very short girls with a lot of booty (that are very much liked by the abundant african american rapper style tourists from the US). She had shrimp salad, some fish, and the flamed fruits with icecream. For drinking. Water, some juices and coffe. No wines.

The total bill was a helarous 350 R$! In addition, they would not accept Master Card, so that I had to give away my precious cash, I needed for more entertaining girls.

So my experience with a non pro, regular girl was a boring evening leaving a total damage of 500 R$! I must say this told me a lesson!

Anyways, that evening I again went to Help. Guess what, I eventually ran into that platinblonde chick. I smiled to her and she came closer. That being said, Rio was an overall enjoyable experience. It is quite safe there. The Othon Hotel has the advantage that you will not need to walk along the copacabana at night. On (yet another) rainy day, I had time enough to explore the hallways of my adopted favorite building, Rio Branco 156. Sad news to report:

3330: Closed (I think they moved to 2622)

1825: Closed at 2pm on a Monday, which probably means closed.
