Maybe, but till now Centaurus is still by far the busiest Terma of Copa. Management is still in the position that they can increase pricing as anyway it's packed and they can't handle having more customers. As long as people continue coming, they will not change policy. It's a mystery for me, but L'Uomo at some nights has not more than 3 or 4 guests while on the same time Centaurus has up to 60-80.

Centaurus is closer to richer areas of Rio (Ipanema, Leblon) and many Brazilians go there. They do not pay the upfront fee and pay R$20 less. You can too. Just tell them at the front you are not sure you want a girl tonight and that you do not pay the tourist tax. When I hand them R$80 (used to be R$70) they always hand it back to me and tell me to pay after. Before, if I did multiple sessions, I too had to go to the front and pay. Not anymore. I had an interesting discussion with a girl who used to work at Centaurus. It seems that it is management who is behind the girl's aggressive behavior. She told me that management is on them all the time to get the clients to the rooms and they are not allowed to sit very long with a client. She got tired of it and left.

Went back to MC tonight because I ran out of time last night and there was a girl I definitely wanted to see. The receptionist last night mentioned to me they have a special promotion which amounted to R$50 discount. I checked their site today and it was not there. When I arrived, I commented to the new manager Gabriella that I did not see it and she said I should have gotten an e-mail. I said I get e-mails but not that one. I also signed up for their frequent visitor program which gives you a free entrance with R$500 spent. As I was leaving I told her that I thought the drinks were too small and too expensive and that they would sell more (and make more money) if they were larger and cost less. She said she would bring it up with the owners.

Another thing I noticed tonight was the bar boys keeping the ashtrays especially clean and fewer of the girls smoking. For Sheila fans, she was at MC tonight. I think her name is Melody there. And for the guys who like bigger bundas, MC is definitely the place.

In case anyone is curious the kind of things that pisses me off about the manager at L'uomo. The other night I had just finished an hour session with a girl and she wanted some special food since she didn't like what they were serving. Just as she sat down to eat, the manager grabs her and tells her she has to get back to work. No problem. It costs me a lot less to see the same girls all night after hours. Is it no wonder all the staff and girls would rather work somewhere else. In fact, one of the former bar men is now working at MC.

I am going to spend the last weekend of Oct in Rio and have a tentative plan which I would like a little input should you find the time. I read Bubba's report and many others and am more than impressed by the depth of the local knowledge. I also appreciate the individual feedback I received earlier.
It seems that with the weekend the choices of termas narrows because those in centro close. I am still a little confused about what kind of place VM is exactly. Also if the beach bars and places like Balcony are like some of the chica bars in BsAs or more like a strip club in the U.S.
It seems that going to Ipenema during the day on Saturday would be a good start and then finding a bar along the beach to have a drink and check out local talent.
I planned on dining and then making my way to Terraco Atlantico to await entering Help. I gather that Saturday's bring out some of the part timers looking to supplement their normal income, and some of the girls from the closed termas, is this an accurate assesment?
Sunday seems like an instant repaly although I may visit another beach. I am wondering if there is a good bar to have a drink while taking in the sites on the sand?
