Yes, it's possible to walk from "Cococabana" to Solarium at nighttime. You can also walk to Complexo do Alemao, sleep on the beach or climb Pão de Açúcar without equipment.

If you look at the map on the Solarium site you'll see that you'll pass some nice green hills. Some of the people living in the settlements on these hills might not have the best intention with a gringo walking alone nighttime at Lagoa. The next day you can enjoy a nice walk on the other side of Lagoa when heading to the Tourist Police in Leblon to report your losses.

I advice you to take a taxi or a bus. It's not a short and safe walk.

I am thinking I am going to go the Solarium right now. Can I walk from Cococabana or should I take a cab there? It is a nice night and the map they have on their website makes the trip look short and safe. I am tempted to go back to the L'Uomo after my remarkable experience the other night. I want to stay in the Zul and not travel far. I am totally open to where I go and if anybody has a recent experience with something fun and raunchy in the area I am all about it. Please note my circumstances are such that I cannot under any condition bring a girl back to my hotel room. 1) If you are staying in Copa, take the metro. It is cheap, safe and fast. Get off at Uruguaiana Station. (see attached).

If travelling in to 4x4 by metro another tip is to stand near the door on the right hand side of the train. At rush hour the trains really fill up at the stations prior to Uruguaiana making it very difficult to get across the carriage.

I will soon be visiting Rio de janeiro for some business and want to enjoy all the nice girls this beautifu country can offer. I need your advise at 2 levels

No need to spam all the threads, Zrngblarsouille. Most people here will read them all.

Generally speaking, the more research you do, the more you will get out of Brasil. It is a big, sometimes overwhelming, city. I suspect there may be too many girls even for you, given that there are more than you could look at in a week much less f*ck!

Agencies are a bit hit and miss and may or may not be your best option as they may sometimes not speak much English. Have a glance thru the forum and come back with specific questions. (There's a thread devoted to agencies if you scroll down a bit.) There's plenty of reports there on the agencies and ad hoc ones on various hotels.

I personally don't recommend one agency over another as my experiences with the ones I've tried have varied. Most hotels will want to ease in financially on your p*ssy time. For total freedom, you could instead try a self-catering apartment (Aparthotel on Barata Ribeiro - although it is a full hundred yards from the beach - but nice and close to the Metro so you can go to 4x4 and see what you're missing.) They will check the girl's I.D. and offer at least some minimal support if there's a problem. Zero charges and you get room service (same as a hotel) but unintrusively.
