I was just passing by and saw the place, seems like an upscale club, but it needs some work to look like a finished building. Looks like it will take some more time. By the way, it's very close to the Church square at moema.

Are there any places near GRU airport which are open reasonably early? I have a flight from GRU at 10pm and will arrive in the afternoon which means I have 5-6 hours to kill. I don´t fancy going into the city center though.

Probably the Connection Night Club is the closest good option that you can try from GRU.

I heard rumors of a new club, that's going to start activities in the beggining of this year.

I don't have the information about it's name yet, but it will be in the region of Moema (where Bahamas and other clubs are located).

An escort told me it's going to be as good as Bahamas, as soon as I get more information I'll post here.

I tend to agree with RexG, 55 minutes is not much time for a connection even without customs. However I would call either Tam or Varig and confirm this but I think I remember that if you are connecting there is a seperate line to clear customs. I remember seeing signs and even a couple of airport employees directing people with connections to a different area. I was never connecting so I don't have personal experience with the process.

I also agree no checked bags. Although in my experience Sao Paulo is very fast in processing baggage.

Now, Do you guys think it is possible to do this schedule? How long on
average Americans expend waiting to pass airport checking? Do they
still take pictures and fingerprints?
I dont know if 55 minutes will b enough time...

IMHO, you are cutting it too close, especially with the airline change. I'm not sure where you'll be required to clear passport control/customs. If in SP, you have little chance of making the connection. Don't check your bags.

I have no choice but to believe you, because that's exactly what I paid. I wrote a detailed report about it during August '05. It is a very common on-site price, if you can speak the language a little.

Just a reminder for the mongering crowd---this is the only club I remembered that required to see my ID. So don't go to this place without it.
