Hey WC, how did you come out on the mileage issue? I used www.bacctravel.com in the past and unfortunately, Continental only applied 50% of the mileage toward my elite account. Which meant I would have had to fly 10 times before I would have had enough miles, for a free ticket!!

    BACC & Sidestep

I swear by the following two:

IMHO, the best website to use is www.sidestep.com

I've used several websites when comparison shopping. It appears as if sidestep.com always edges out the others. It beats some websites by as much as USD $100.00 and others by USD $10 to USD $20.

BACC travel has the best "contract" discounts. They have negotiated discounts with the major carriers which allow them to sometimes beat the website fares. You have to call them though to get the best rates and confirm availability. Be prepared for sub-par service when you call. A lot of holds and transfers. Ask for Mrs. Gomez She is the best IMO.

    hello guys,

new to this forum, but have been to brazil a number of times

i am thinking of moving half the year to brazil and the only thing holding me back is my business

i am currently day trading in the stock market through e-trade canada

i am curious if there is a discount trader in brazil (like e-trade) so that i could trade in the canadian and american markets? maybe itau' or unibanco has one?

any you guys trade stocks while in brazil?

does the high speed internet in brazil work good enough so i can trade in my canadian brokerage account.

any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    Airline Ticket

    Hey Lonzof,

In my haste to book my ticket, I picked the wrong month! I booked a ticket for this month and I was really proud of myself until I looked at the email notification. Price was $819.00 total from LAX. I call AA a switched the month to next month. Cost me an additional $166.00. Damn, one less terma run. LOL. Oh well, that's life. Still glad to be heading home.
