It's that side street on the left, along the main road going to Yalan from Miraton. It's the opposite side of the road, about 30 feet before a hospital on the right side. At night, the hospital sign has an orange like glow to it.

In the last three weeks, I have been there with 3 different mongers at different times and days of the night. Quality and quantity varied each night. The Li Hua hotel is located directly across from the shops. The Li Hua Hotel is the bottom red star on the map. The hotel is now closed. At the end of road is a park, where I have been told and have seen free lancers working inside the park.

I would say that it's a good 20 minute walk from the Hui Mei and another 10 minutes will get you to the Yalan.

I know you don't have a printer but attached is a map to give you the head up on directions.

Just curious, with so much mongering in China, why so little posts?

As a newbie, I can't blame you for overpaying; but if you RTFF more, you would have known that 450 for your first session is overpaying by 150 if you take those girls from the BBS in the building next to Miraton Hotel. The normal rate is 150 each. So you could have had 3 girls.

The Viagra that is sold in most legit pharmacies is the real deal, but is rather expensive. Never buy it from the snack shops or magazine booths as these are almost all fake.

I did an experiment (i.e. me taking various pills) with the Chinese alternatives and reported about it in the Shenzhen thread some time ago. Some worked, some did not and some had MAJOR side effects. Another member reported later that some of these pills are placebo's that are sprayed with a chemical that is banned in the USA to give the effects of Viagra, but that is very dangerous.

I have never heard, or have taken the brand you purchased so, I cannot comment on them. Since you bought them from a legit pharmacy, you could try taking half the recommended dosage to see if they have any affect before throwing back the whole pack.

First of all, I dont profess to be an expert in all things China. I made a few visits to China, with the valuable help with a few fellow mongers, I had a great time. Since I dont speak or understand Chinese, I threw out a lot of the facts that I observed, and wait for some interpretations from the forum to understand China and Chinese better.

Regarding doing what Romans do in Rome, I have to say my Chinese hosts were generous with the KTV girls. They seemed to get along great without confrontations and headaches with the girls. My Chinese host gave my KTV girl 100RMB tip on top of what I already gave her. They also tipped the mamasan, waiters, machine girls etc... Everyone was smiling afterwards.

I know a successful American business guy who married an Asian girl not too much younger than he. They live in China half time. When they go out, a lot of the working-class women would assume she was a prostitute. They would whisper asking her how much money she got out of him a night. So, what's the conclusion? I would take my female Chinese companions anywhere in China. I never felt any potential problems. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Basically, many Chinese men feel very frustrated because their own country has failed them by not offering them the education and jobs to be able to be financially and socially secure. Women of course are looking for this kind of security. Times have changed in the last decade or so, but there are many millions of Chinese who are left in the dust because they have not changed with the times for one reason or another. I am sure we all know that China has basically turned on a dime and made an about face from a planned economy to a market economy. This has basically made their heads spin.

The aftermath is, they see these lao wai’s "scoop up their women” and offer them what they currently can’t. China is catching up for lost time, and many simply can’t keep up. Lao wai’s are an easy target and these guys are frustrated.

For Chinese women, sure there are Lao Wai’s who can offer an instant comfortable lifestyle, and if you are an expat with a decent job in China, you are most likely making orders of magnitude more than the average Chinese citizen. I remember several years ago a Chinese co-worker who said about her female Chinese colleague about to marry a Lao wai saying "all we want is to have a comfortable lifestyle".

It is simply this - women have the right anatomy, and there are not too many gay Chinese men out there, though they benefit from finding Lao wai boyfriends too (I know a gay American with a Chinese partner). It is simply much easier for a Chinese woman to get hooked up with a Lao wai or local Chinese guy. There are not too many local Chinese guys getting hooked up with Lao wai women, though it happens. I know at least three Lao wai women who married local.

You have to realize that most Chinese people do not like us. They see us as fat, rich and spoiled foreigners coming to their country to take their women, to buy things that they can not afford.

Think back in the 90s when the Japanese came to the U.S. and purchased up all the properties. Everyone was up in arms and want to pass a bill to stop our famous properties from being bought up by the Japanese. But then the stock market in Japan fell hard and they went away. We did not love the Japanese in our country at that time. This is the same way the Chinese look at us. Most of us are running around with girls half our age, can not talk to them in Chinese (most of us) so it is very clear to the average Chinese what these girls are. Do you expect them to love us for doing what we do.

They all think we are very rich and should pay more for everything because we have money. You will see this in all third countries. You are not going to change their minds on how they feel about you.

Just say to yourself, I don't care what you think about me. It is the only thing you can do because they will not change for you. This is China, they don't change their view for anyone. I think a large part of the difference in "bigotry" is economic in nature. Folks in the US (especially in the major cities which you mentioned) wouldn't get worked up about a Chinese man flaunting a local white cutie because (1) it isn't very common and (2) while China is rapidly becoming wealthier, the US is still wealthier by far in general (GDP per head has got to be orders of magnitude higher. I think Guangzhou has the highest in China at about $10k/person, US is what $30k/person? )

If you had thousands of Japanese tourists picking up the creme of the local American crop, especially if they were mostly short, fat and balding, I would guess that the local American would start to get upset. Imagine any Asian tourist seen walking around with a 19 yr old cheerleader in the sticks of Mississippi or Alabama and you can imagine the sort of reaction he would get from the local population.

Ever heard the story of Vincent Chin? A Chinese American dude living in Detroit in the 70s. Went to a strip club for his bachelor party. Some out of work rednecks got pissed off at him flaunting his money, and that it was because of these damn Japs that they were out of work. They chased him down outside of the club and beat him to death with a baseball bat. Worse yet, they did no jail time (it was justifiable the judge reasoned). I realize that this was 30 years ago, but I really wouldn't be surprised if the economic situation returned to where the US was mired in a deep recession and some Asian country (whether China, Japan) was suddenly the new economic power, that the supposed "enlightened" America regresses a bit.
