1. Yes, have a group is definitly better. I was trying to see if to post on the message board to see who is in Dongguan. Unfortunately, none of the hotel/internet cafe allowed me to get on to the site. So if somebody could provide which hotel/internet cafe allow access to ISG, that will be awesome.

2. I am Chinese and speak Chinese but I have been in the US since childhood. When I was CP talking to Mamasan, I have a feeling they know exactly where I was from.

3. Does anybody know which area of CP have the best girl? I am saying this is because I was in Bangkok a few years back, I went to the RLD and sauna place ISG recommed but was kind of disappointed by the quality. All of these place of full of foreigner, which makes me think the thai man have better place to go.

Same story for CP. For CP, I have to go through a lot of girls/BBS to find something I really like. The street where lucky/miraton is. You see a lot of foreigner/hongkonger/Tawainess. I dont see many chinese from the CP area.

I have mainly been sticking to Sauna. The quality of the girl is good, the service is great. Cost 278(room)+ 500/700 for girl.

As for BBS, It takes me a long time to find someone I like. I usually choose on looks. And most time service is ok. One thing guys should notice is, these lookers all have cellphone. The cellphone doesnt ring when I picking her up or walking back to the hotel. But 5 minutes in to the room, it rings, and the girl spent 30 minutes talking.

To Szexpat/everyone: I am planning a trip to Shenzhen in may, after the canton fair/golden week. Lets see if we can plan something.

PS: ISG have affected my personaly life so much, when I realized doing this is cheaper than having a girlfriend.

During my 13-day stay in Changping, I had:

ST: 18
LT: 12
Girls: 29

Those are the kind of statistics I’m looking for. Near perfection!

BBS Locations

Hui Mei BBS

From the Miraton Hotel

If you’re staying at the Miraton Hotel, turn left as you walk out of the hotel lobby. On the next corner, you’ll see the Virgin Hotel. On the opposite corner, you’ll spot the Hui Mei Hotel. As you’re walking towards the square/park in between the Virgin and Hui Mei hotels, you’re sure to be approached by the mamasans’ runners.

The runners will show you the way, but most of the BBS are situated in an alley leaning to the left on the Hui Mei side of the square. There are also BBS in the alley to the right of the main alley, in the Jia Mei Hotel and in the alley turning left in front of the Jia Mei Hotel.

You don’t need to know the exact location of the BBS – they change anyway. As long as you’re in the right area, someone will find you. And as soon as you leave one BBS, someone will be ready to take you to the next place.

Jia Mei Hotel

If you’re not staying in the area and the van driver seems baffled by the laowai pronunciation of Hui Mei, you can show him the attached business card of the Jia Mei Hotel, which is right at the heart of the Hui Mei BBS area.

Unfortunately, the attached map is only in Chinese. It was actually the same color as the business card, but since the contrast was too low after scanning it, I isolated the blue channel. The black dot with the stylized letters JM inside is the Jia Mei Hotel. The black dot with a circle around it should be the Virgin Hotel. The main BBS area is the alley leaning to the left.

Room 216 at the Jia Mei Hotel is also one of the best stocked BBS in Hui Mei. Someone is usually waiting in the hotel lobby to take prospective customers up to the room. Mamasan Xiao Qing was young, tiny and cute, and always wore a tuxedo. According to Johnnykon, she’s left town...

Yalan BBS

The Yalan BBS is not walking distance from the Miraton Hotel, so you’ll need a van (15 RMB) or motorcycle (5 RMB) to get there. Everybody knows where Yalan is, but if the driver fails to understand where you want to go, you can show him the Silver Star Hotel business card.

The Silver Star Hotel is opposite the Yalan Hotel and holds one of the best stocked BBS in Yalan. The alley to the left of the Silver Star Hotel features a few more houses. There are plenty more BBS in the alley behind the Yalan Hotel... the whole area is basically littered with BBS.

As at Hui Mei, the runners will try and entice you to visit their shop and if you don’t find your dream girl in one shop, it won’t be long before someone is pulling you towards the next place.

Swan Lake Hotel

The Swan Lake Hotel is just a few minutes walking from the Yalan Hotel. Their business card has been attached.

On the 2nd floor of this hotel, you’ll find about 5-6 rooms full of Chinese beauties dressed in elegant evening gowns waiting to accompany you...

Night Market

To get to the Night Market, show the driver the business card attached to a previous post and point to the Li Hua Hotel.

According to Ace Gallant, most of the girls at the Night Market are KTV rejects.

BBS Observations

Statistics

Hui Mei: 14 ST ; 3 LT ; 16 girls
Yalan: 3 ST ; 8 LT ; 11 girls
Swan Lake: 1 ST
Night Market: 1 LT

Most days, I had a ST, followed by a LT. Most of my ST girls were from Hui Mei. Most of the LT girls were from Yalan. There’s no particular reason for that, apart from the fact that Hui Mei was closer to my hotel.

Review

Yalan, where some of the BBS have 20+ girls, has the largest selection in town. Hui Mei is a close second. I couldn’t really choose between them. I generally didn’t have any problem finding suitable company in either BBS area.

I only visited the Swan Lake Hotel once. After being turned down by 2 girls, I settled for my 3rd choice. Maybe it was just a coincidence. Or maybe the fancy dresses inspire the stuck-up attitude.

I only had one girl from the Night Market as well. This area merited a return visit, but I never got round to it.

Opening Hours

Except for the Night Market, the BBS open around 3PM and close at midnight. As its name implies, the Night Market doesn’t get going before 9PM and is your best bet when you’re looking for company after midnight.

Prices

Prices are pretty standard in the Changping BBS, at 200 RMB ST and 500 RMB LT.

One place in Yalan, where the girls wear fancy dresses similar to the Swan Lake Hotel girls, is more expensive than the others (300-600 RMB).

Once again, the Night Market is the big exception, as it’s a little cheaper (150-400 RMB).

Split-Up

Ace Gallant, who’s a fountain of information on the Chinese P4P scene, recently provided information on how your money is split up.

You generally pay 100 RMB to the mamasan. That money is split up as follows:
- 50 RMB to the BBS owner.
- 40 RMB to the mamasan.
- 10 RMB to the runner, who brings you to the BBS.
* If there’s no runner involved, the runner’s cut goes to the mamasan.

The balance is paid to the girl, as she’s leaving, and is hers to keep. This means that the Changping BBS girls make 100 RMB for a ST and 400 RMB for a LT!

ST vs. LT

When you take a girl from a BBS, you don’t have to specify whether you’re taking her ST or LT. Since the LT deal is so much more lucrative, it’s in the girl’s best interests to provide good service to convince you to keep her overnight. The girls actually have to earn the LT gig!

Analyzing the system often goes a long way in explaining why some places are good and others are bad. Places where the girls have an incentive to provide good service are often the best. The system at the Changping BBS works in the punter’s favor, which explains why the girls generally provide great service. It also explains why there wasn’t a single girl who declined my invitation to spend the night, unlike in Zhuhai and Shenzhen.

Mamasans

The BBS mamasans will often stuff their business card in your hand, so you can contact them. As I don’t speak Chinese, they were no use to me, but I still have a whole collection of them. I've attached a few examples.

Disinterested?

When you visit a BBS, the mamasan will often throw girls in your lap, which may or may not be the girls you actually want to meet. Don’t be afraid to point out who you’re interested in. This can be done subtly, by trying to establish eye contact with your dream girl, which the mamasan will pick up on. You can also be more direct and describe her (if you speak the language or are accompanied by someone who does) or even point her out.

As you’re surveying the talent, you might think that many of the girls look disinterested. At first, I thought that was because I was a laowai, until I noticed similar behavior towards Chinese customers.

Don’t be deceived by appearances. Some girls that seemed totally disinterested were suddenly all smiles once they found out they were the chosen one. Maybe they were just shy. Maybe it was fear of rejection. But the fact that a girl seems reserved should not discourage you from picking her. If she doesn’t give you the right vibes while she’s sitting with you, you may want to consider picking a different girl, though.

Rejection

While I had to deal with plenty of rejection in Zhuhai and especially in Shenzhen, there were hardly any cases where a girl refused to go with me in Changping. I can only recall 2 girls from the Swan Lake Hotel and 1 from Yalan.

Considering I’m a laowai – generally not the most popular customers – that’s an amazing statistic!

Fun Factor

They don’t serve drinks at the BBS. There don’t play music either. You may think that the BBS are boring places, where you wanna pick up a girl and get out ASAP.

Actually, BBS trolling in Changping can be a lot of fun. The mamasans will often whip out the girls’ tits, to show you their pink nipples. When a girl sits down with you, she’ll try her best to make sure you won’t leave without her. When you’re accompanied by 2 girls, they will pin you down and you’ll actually have to wrestle your way out.

My Place or Yours?

As far as I know, none of the Changping BBS have attached rooms, unlike in Shenzhen. The Changping girls always come to your room, which is exactly the way I like it.

Service

Being a laowai drowned in a sea of Chinese, I feared the service would be like in other places mainly frequented by locals (no kissing, starfish, no GFE). But the China Dolls turned out to be malleable and adaptable. Treat them like your girlfriend (not like a fuck thing) and they will respond in kind. The majority of the girls (eventually) allowed French kissing and the service level was way higher than I expected. Some girls were downright amazing in bed!

My fear that the girls would be inclined to do a runner on a laowai also turned out to be unfounded. The few girls who made halfhearted attempts to leave early were easily persuaded to stay. The girls generally didn’t shy away from the early afternoon fuck either.

The GFE factor was generally higher with the LT girls than with the ST girls. That probably goes for most mongering destinations. The girls with previous laowai experience were definitely more in tune with a laowai’s needs and expectations. But even the girls without previous experience often showed a healthy curiosity and willingness to experiment.

Many girls clearly weren’t used to having their pussy eaten. Most got wet as can be. While we were fucking, some girls simply hurt. Others were clearly pursuing their own pleasure. Nothing makes me hornier than that!

Almost all the girls gave BBBJs. Chinese mongers may not enjoy the same success rate. They speculated that, considering the size of my dick, the girls would rather suck it than fuck it. Being a laowai in China can have its advantages!

KTV

The System

For those of you that are totally clueless about Chinese KTVs, here’s a little primer.

Most of the more upscale KTVs in Changping are 2-5-8. What do these numbers mean?

- The first figure is the sitting fee (200 RMB).
- The second figure is the ST price (500 RMB).
- The third figure is the LT price (800 RMB).

The Flaw

If you invite a girl to sit with you, you’re entitled to a 15 minute grace period, which gives you the chance to get to know the girl and send her back without being out of pocket. If the girl keeps you company for longer than 15 minutes, she’s earned the sitting fee.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The only way in which a hoe should be able to make money is by spreading her legs!

The sitting fee for a KTV girl will cost you as much as a ST with a BBS girl!

The Total Cost

KTV girls don’t come cheap, and there are plenty of additional expenses to consider. The KTV rooms always have a minimum charge, which is usually pretty steep. There’s the tip for the DJ...

The KTV experience will cost you a bundle. If you book a BBS girl for the night, take her out to dinner at an upscale restaurant and then take her to a club, you’ll spend less money, have more fun and...you’re assured of getting laid!

The Statement

While doing my pre-trip research, I took note of this statement by Moody:

KTV is more about hanging out with buds and getting drunk than getting laid. You almost have to consider the getting laid part as a side dish rather than the main course.

I cannot reconcile myself with that statement, as getting laid is what the game is all about for me. Unless I get into the end zone, I’ve simply wasted my money.

The Singing

There’s a reason why there are very few karaoke joints in Western countries. Most laowais hate karaoke. Listening to amateurs murder the English classics would be bad enough, but having to suffer Chinese music is pure agony.

The KTV Girls

I would estimate that there are about 500 BBS girls in Changping. The Prince KTV alone has about 200 girls. The Jia Yi KTV is reputed to have even more girls. As God only knows home many KTV joints there are in Changping, there must be thousands of KTV girls!

The KTV girls are definitely more expensive, but are they also better looking? I saw around 200 girls at the Prince KTV and wouldn’t say that the overall quality was any higher than at Yalan. The elegant dresses are probably designed to make the girls look more sophisticated. Mutton dressed as lamb, if you ask me.

The Option

In my opinion, KTV is not for laowais. This laowai definitely has no interest in them... unless they function like BBS. Apparently, some of the cheaper KTVs (1-3-5, 1-3-6) are open in the afternoon and the girls can be taken out for a ST without having to suffer the ordeal of karaoke.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t know where to find these places...

The Conclusion

Unlike you really enjoy the whole KTV experience, I suggest you stay away from KTVs. If you’re just looking to get laid, stick to the BBS!

Saunas

The most famous sauna in Changping is the Virgin Spa, round the back of the Virgin Hotel, but there are plenty of others.

After my experiences in Zhuhai, it’s unlikely I’ll ever set foot in another Chinese sauna, as I simply hate the system:

- Line-ups tailored to the customer.
- Male captains.
- Playing away from home.

On top of that, the saunas in Changping are expensive (568 RMB at the Virgin Spa). And they have a strict no pictures policy, which clashes with my personal rules.

Discos

Xinde Disco

Unfortunately, I failed to obtain a business card from Xinde. But it’s pronounced similar to the girl’s name Cindy and not all that far from the Yalan area.

Minimum Charge

If you want a table at Xinde, the minimum charge is 318 RMB, which buys you 10 bottles of beer.

Xin Don Tai Disco

Directions

The business card and map have been attached.

Minimum Charge

Xin Don Tai is cheaper than Xinde, as the minimum charge for a table is only 240 RMB, and also buys you 10 beers.

But it’s further away, and a minivan from the Miraton Hotel will cost you 25 RMB, compared to 15 RMB to Xinde. And the taxis outside the disco grossly overcharge people. To the chagrin of the taxi mafia, we ended up taking a 3-wheeler!

General

Music

Techno and trance are the music of choice for young Chinese people. Luckily, most of the tunes had... no lyrics.

Liar’s Dice

A lot of Chinese love playing Liar’s Dice in the disco. To me, it looked as if they used Liar’s Dice as an excuse to get drunk, as if they couldn’t have a drink simply because they wanted to. Weird...

Tables

Tables in the discos have a minimum charge. If there aren’t enough of you to finish 10 bottles of beer, you can simply hang out on the dance floor.

Pick-up Spot?

A lot of BBS and KTV girls visit the discos after work. To my surprise, I caught quite a few girls checking me out. Maybe they simply weren’t used to seeing laowais. But maybe I could actually have scored in the discos...

Whenever I visited a disco, I already had company, so I couldn’t say if the girls were just looking to party or looking to get picked up...

Final Words

Ethnic Chinese mongers from all over the world swarm to Changping – the Chinese equivalent of Pattaya. Laowais are still a rare sight in town. Maybe my report can change that...

The Changping girls still need to get used to laowai customers. They need to become aware that we have different expectations. They need to learn English. If enough of us turn up, they eventually might...

I had a blast in Changping, so I’ll finish by echoing the words of my friend MongerX, who recommended I visit Southern China: “Changping fucking rocks!”

I have been starting making Dongguan my destination, but I want to ask how do you guys logged into this website while you are in China? I tried to log on from a hotel in shenzhen, It doesnt allow me to log in.

When I was in Changping, I stayed in Lucky Hotel. I guess you can choose between Lion, Lucky or Hui Mei. The only think I didnt like about lucky is that it seems the evelator is on the 3rd floor, and you have to take the escalator up.

As for Hui Mai, I think the main entrance and lobby is to open, and the counter was right there. Anybody ever had problem with Hui Mei?

I feel bad that I did not get online to see who is here in Changping when I was here. I was in the Internet Cafe between huimei and lucky.. I did this solo but I think its definitley more fun with a group.

One note: When I was living in lucky, you have like 10 mamasan waiting outside. So if you are a man walking alone, everyone gathers upon you. Fun for the first few times, but I am always scared consider its on a very popular street.

I am also surprised there is so little post on Houjie. My friend in shenzhen told me this place. I think if you want sauna, Houjie it is. BBS, goto changping

As for travelling to Changping. I think bus is more efficient, the bus stop is like 2 blocks away from lion, lucky hotel.

Just a few comments about your post:

1. There are many more hotels to choose from than just these 3 (Miraton, Virgin, Yalin, etc.) I prefer the Lucky Hotel, so most of my reports will be written from this place. The escalator does not seems such a concern, if your worried about a "Walk of Shame" so to speak, this would actually provide you a cover because who knows if your going into the hotel or the restaurants situated on the 2 floor as well?

2. No problems from my friends who stayed at the Hui Mei, actually no problems reported at ANY of the hotels.....if you are shy about you're hobby or feel the staff is watching you, then maybe places like the Miraton should be avoided due to the long walk.

3. Yes, some places including the Internet Cafe do use IP blocks to certain websites, like ISG. I tried to access it from the Internet Cafe as well and was forbidden.

4. For me, I like having a wingman because I am a big, white laowai who does not speak much Chinese. If you are Asian you should not have as many problems.

5. One of the MAIN reasons guys go to CP is to have sex, so of course there is mommies outside the hotel, the hotel does not prevent WG's from going into the hotels and the cities economy does quite well off the sex trade. Every hotel I have seen in CP has at least one mommy lurking around it.

Though it is hard to believe, some guys have never heard of ISG so, they don't know the secrets and hot spots everyone reports on. They rely on the mommies to escort them into the stables and show them the girls.

If you think the mommies at the Lucky Hotel are bad, try staying at the Yalin Hotel, now that's fun. I have actually become friends with several of the mommies (even shagged 2 of them) now, I am treated as a VIP, be nice to them and they will be nice to you......

6. I agree about the bus, after the train problems in SZ started about a month ago, I took the bus and now prefer it over the train.

Great reports and brings back some memories of CP...and especially adding all your stylized pics, your reports have become like crack for the ISG members! You better keep posting more pics (and I know you have 100s per gal, ha ha...) or a lot of members will start showing withdrawl symptoms!

Getting There

From Zhuhai

When I arrived at the bus station at the end of LHL, across from the underground shopping mall that leads to the border crossing to Macau, I noticed a parked bus with a sign outside reading Dongguan (in English). But when I went to buy a ticket, the girl told me that bus didn’t stop in Changping.

Johnnykon explained that Dongguan is a district and that Changping is one of the towns in that district. Buses marked Dongguan may or may not stop in Changping.

Anyway, the girl from the ticket counter asked a security guard to show me the way to another bus station. When you look across the street, the shopping mall is off to your right. Look to your left and you’ll see more parked buses. This 2nd bus station has frequent buses to Changping for 70 RMB.

The bus made several short stops along the highway to let people off, but never pulled into a bus station. I was dropped off along the highway as well and took a metered taxi to the Miraton Hotel for 15 RMB.

To/From Shenzhen

The Dongguan train station is actually in Changping. There are frequent trains between Shenzhen and Changping for 35 RMB (30 minutes).

To/From HKIA

Eternal East Bus Experience

To get from Changping to HKIA, I took the Eternal East Bus, which I booked at the Miraton Hotel (160 RMB, although the ticket says 200 HKD).

- A minivan picked me up right outside the Miraton Hotel and brought us to the Good View Hotel, a luxury resort in Zhangmutou (aka ZMT aka Little Hong Kong).
- From there, a bus brought us to the border crossing at Lok Ma Chau Port.
* Immigration papers were handed out on the bus, as well as a complimentary bottle of water.
- You have to queue up to get stamped out of China and go through customs (with your luggage).
- After passing through Chinese immigration, I transferred to another minivan.
- They gathered our passports in the minivan and we passed through Hong Kong immigration without getting out.
- The minivan continued to HKIA.
- The journey took 2h15m.

Room Rates

The room rate for standard rooms is 328 RMB Sunday-Thursday and 358 RMB on Friday and Saturday. The corporate rate is 30 RMB cheaper.

Rooms

The rooms at the Miraton come with all the mod cons you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. The soft king size bed invites you to bounce up and down. The safe is large enough to store all your valuables. The free Internet connection gives unrestricted access and allows you to post live reports on your favorite monger sites.

The bathroom features both a bathtub and a shower cubicle large enough for three or four people. The bathroom mirror never fogs up. And when I got home, I was surprised when the lights didn’t switch on automatically as I entered my bathroom.

Various

The room rate includes breakfast for two. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet, which features both Chinese and Western food, closes at 10.30 AM. Way too early for a night owl like me!

English is spoken at reception.

The lifts are situated on the side of the building and offer views of Changping.

Conclusion

The rooms are excellent. The service is excellent. The Miraton Hotel is a class act and comes highly recommended if it’s within your budget.

Transport

There are metered taxis in Changping, but there are infinitely more unmarked minivans, which will take you most places in town (Yalan, Swan Lake, Xinde) for 15 RMB. Places further away (like Xin Don Tai) can set you back 25 RMB.

A cheaper alternative to get to places like Yalan on your own are the motorbike taxis, which only cost 5 RMB (7 RMB for 2 people).

ATMs

The ATM next to McDonald’s will give you 2000 RMB per transaction. The Bank of China ATM is further away, but will give you 2500 RMB at a time. You’ll find it by walking past the Hui Mei Hotel until you reach a major intersection. The Bank of China ATM is on the other side of the street.

Should I push my incoming date a week further? My incoming date is April 29th.

I guess I should check on the Miraton prices too for that week.

Some hotels in DG have higher prices during Canton Fair - please don't ask me which hotels, I read this and some hotel staff tolde me, but I forgot which one. If also in CP I have to check out, maybe some "Seniors" here can give feedback concerning regular hotels in CP or DG.

Anyway you should expect that foreigner during Canton Fair are more seen as people with money, especially in GZ. I highly recommend to come after the fair. During fair, the trains are crowded and you can expect that there is more "customer entertainment" in areas like DG, like regular weekends.

A side note, the first week of May is a national holiday. I believe all hotels and some transportation will raise their rates. The Canton fair ONLY effects Canton area for prices. But the hoilday effects all of China including HK and Macau. CP might be far enough so it might not be effected as much during the fair, but not during the national holiday. It's best to check.

For example, I was in Macau and found 3 stars hotels 900-1100HKD during this time. It was a big suprise to me since they normal go for only 350 to 450HKD.
