Don't understand why some fellows have problems with hotel bookings and rates. What are they doing in China if not for business, so they should have a contact who could take care of these practic things. I never stayed at the Miraton but my GZ contact got a room rate of RMB 435,00 deluxe single during Canton fair. This is not bad at all.

LW, are you serious about all these requirements for a booking?

- ISG is not a company...at least not in this/our case!!!
- you will get the rates yourself when becoming a regular customer, just show them first that you are good customer and they will honor it
- you can negotiate this rates when staying longer than one/two nights
- yes, you can get the rates when asking a member to book a room for you by providing your real name, social security number, credit card number with CCV2 code, address used with this CC, Blood type, result of last blood screening and many, many other data...but less than US Homeland Security wants from us...

And, what are CNY 30 difference when you are willing to pay x-times more for a gal???!!! This, i am not able to understand, complaining about CNY 30 and then throwing money after a gal. At least for this CNY 30 (respectively 328/358) you know what you get, you maybe will ask yourself what you got from a gal after you paid her.
Do you get two breakfast vouchers from your LT gal?? No, she will start argue with you when not providing her money for a cab ride and then using a motorcycle or just walk away...

ISG members have given Miraton so much business that we should get our own corporate rate.

I bet our worldwide ISG corporate members now may be close to a thousand.

Can we get this rate booking directly, or have to go through our senior members that are regulars in CP?

When I started staying at the Miraton over a year ago, the rate was 268(weekdays, Sun - Thurs) and 298 (Weekends Sat & Fri) includes 2 Breakfast and unlimited housekeeping makeup of room.

In around Sept 2006 (Sorry I might had forgotten the actual month) the rate went up to 298 for weekdays and 328 for weekends. This includes one breakfast and only one makeup of room per day. Any extra room makeup will be charged at 50 each time. Due to complain from customers on the breakfast, they revised it to 2 breakfasts a month later.

These are corporate rates courtesy of OAHISG travel services Inc. I had never stayed in Miraton at any other non-corporate rates besides occasional fully booked dates in which I will be put in Junior Suite or family Suite or Mahjong Suite for between 468 and 568.

If I am not wrong; the non-corporate rates for a standard room is 328 on Weekdays and 368 on weekends. I could be wrong, please feel free to correct me.

I just phoned Miraton and spoke to a woman at the front desk (in Chinese). I was quoted a one bed room for RMB328 with discount for this Sunday. Is that the discounted rack rate and how is it compared to your corporate rate this year. I know the rate was published on this forum a while back but I wanted to know if it has changed. And is the one bed at least a double-sized bed?

Is there a party in CP this weekend or is this a stupid question?

The numbers you had quoted are correct and there had been no change.

Corporate rate applies to customers who sign a deal minimum booking deals over one year or if you are regular customer the come around at least twice a week.

You can try calling them and negotiate with teh front desk manager, Mr. David Yang. You are likely to know the ex-manager Holly Lan who has left Miraton and went to New Century Hotel since last October.

And the Miraton sauna is on floors 7-9. For all I know, there's a different configuration on each floor. Could be they've got the pools, etc. on the other floors. What did you see on 9?

The 9th floor is their buffer floor. It is not so obviously a FS sauna centre. The rooms are closer to the standard hotel rooms with a small sauna but no sunken baths etc. Just a shower. Traffic is also less as there are some er...........hotel guests who have wives with them etc.

First, I want to say that Santa is being less than honest. In every single shop we visited, he got the one I wanted. And then, once in a while he'd show up at the restaurant I was writing in and show me his new one, and she was also invariably the one I would have chosen. And once he's taken them, they won't look at me.

After he left, I was going to make it my personal mission to, um, experience as many of his girls as possible, but other priorities intervened, which was just as well since I could barely walk when I left anyway.

And the Miraton sauna is on floors 7-9. For all I know, there's a different configuration on each floor. Could be they've got the pools, etc. on the other floors. What did you see on 9?

Certainly China is not Japan and the girls are Human! And I am aware they are REAL not just somebody from an AV Video. I will treat and have treated them with all due respect and force them into nothing. Just wanted to straighten this.
