2007 South China - Dongguan

Hi, I might be going to Dongguan city - dongcheng area in 2 weeks time.

I know most of the activities is in CP, Houjie and ChangAn and I have search the forum about Sauna in Dongcheng hotel. Does anyone know if there is KTV and good sauna in DG City? And how much would it cost? Or do I have to be on vegetarian during the trip.

Even now, with those freebies or GF I am having, I sometimes wish that they could stop nagging or talking about how hard their life is when they are back in their hometown, how hard their families is living, how they wish they have lots of money blah blah blah... Agree wit you, maybe OWL was just lucky enough to find 2 girls in that 1% that speak good English. Why would a girl who speaks really good English need or want to work in a KTV when she can have a much more socially acceptable and higher paying job doing something more legitimate.

Jojo in CP speaks "fair" English and I have had a few girls out there that could speak some basic English, but all of them are far from having good oral skills (hell, even their oral sex skills are nothing to brag about).

I think you had the two brightest English speaking girls in China. Although 80% of the people took English as a subject for two years in Junior High School, 99% of them had either forgotten their English due to lack of practice or they just did not do well during their English classes. In my experience with KTVs girls 99% of them do not speak more than 10 sentences of English. Of course there are some exceptions where in the bigger cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, where the girls have better chances to use English in their conversation, we will get more girls that are more well verse in English.

Another fact is that most of these girls are just drop outs from High school, how well would you believe that they have good English skills?

There is a common problem in China; a lot of University grads know how to write good English but when they are told to speak, 99% of them can't pronounce what they had written. Of course, remember the fact that only 0.01% of the KTV went to college. The only Chinese that I term as having good English are those who had come back from studies overseas. But if they did that, why would they be working in KTV?

Like I had said; you will get limited choice of girls if you asked for English speaking only girls in a line up.

IMHO: I had never come across any KTV girl with perfect or good English.

I just want to add my 2 fen of wisdom on the above subject. Let's face it, all the mamas will do anything and say anything to sell their girls. They are very clever at this. After they get to know you and your preferences better, they will even tell you what you want to hear. All the girls have big racks and "pink color", will do BBBJCIM, used to work at a sauna, just started yesterday, and provide the best service in all of CP. At the end of the day, it is hit or miss, regardless of the mama. And, every monger's take is different on the service depending on their preferences.

Sandy: Many of us do not like her approach. She is just too aggressive with the holding you down, grabbing you, biting you and the obnoxious DFK. I have not had very good experiences with her girls either.

Lily: Many of her girls were excellent service providers, but I've had bad apples from her, as well. Anyway, she is history as has been posted.

Baby (Angel?): She is a conniving little thing. I have never had a good one from her, nor her sister JoJo. She is always misrepresenting her girls to me.

Hua Hua: She has been pretty good to me. I probably do more of her girls than any other mama, but her quality is sliding recently.

Green Door: I hate the way they close the door on you in the room in the middle. All the mamas in that room are way too aggressive. They never want to give you a name card and insist that you take the girl on the spot.

5th Floor KTV: The mamas in these 2 rooms are OK. They do not pressure you as much. Their approach is much more subtle.

2nd Floor KTV: I like the mama we deal with at this place. She is usually pretty straight about her girls and the service. She generally has the best looking talent lately.

Baby: Although I have to break my golden rule to cross the road, I've had some pretty good service out of Baby lately. The mamas and papa there are fairly low key, as well. If you like tall girls, there are always a few at this place.

Swan Lake: They are so aggressive in this place that I do not want to even go anymore. And, IMHO, the overall quality of the talent is not that great anyway. My old squeeze 42D is now a mama at this place.

Hui Mei shops: With the exception of the hotel (I've had good experience there), the other shop mamas always pull the lock me in tactic. I understand that these shops will soon be history in the path of redevelopment.

In conclusion, I reckon it does not matter which mama you deal with. It is best to look for signals and use your own judgement and not listen to the mama's pitch. You will still get your fair share of good and bad.

You just tell mama or manager to bring in more girls that can speak English. But their definition of "Can speak English" is different from us, their definitions: They can say "Hello" & "How are You?" = Can speak English, anything beyond that = Can speak English well!

Well, i have taken a private transport from Zhuhai to CP and CP to Zhuhai. It's only RMB450 from ZH to CP and RMB400 from CP to ZH. It's normally an MPV. If you have about 4 bros then its RMB100+ per person. Cheap n comfortable. They will pick u up from your hotel and send you to the doorstep of your destination. However you will need to book through an taiwanese agent in CP. It takes about 1 hour 45 minutes if on MPV and 1.5 hour if by car. So far, it's only two of us in the MPV. The agent does booking for ktvs and hotels in CP too. They give a better rate than if you walk in.

Biglauda, able to pass the contact for the MPV and private car? Would like to travel from CP to Zhuhai Gongbei.

I remember the first time I was in Shenzhen.... about 13 years ago. I got taken to a big KTV somewhere. Since back then, my Mandarin was non-existent, the people I was with tried really hard to get me a girl who can speak some English. The best they managed (out of maybe 500 girls) was one who could say, "what's your name?" "dance please?" "cheers," and "thank you." If I said anything more than "ok" or "thank you," I just got a puzzled look.
