Perhaps my post wasn't clear that I was talking shops in general. Not focussing on Tulip.

I think it would be very rare for a girl to make 1500 per session without additional tips. Amounts varying between 1100 and 1400 would be typical (after fees paid to the shop). I can't give an exact amount list for various shops. "New Massage" girl claimed to get about 1100 (or could have been 1200) out of the all in fee, from memory (it's a few months ago). Annies girls certainly do not get 1500. Can't remember exact amount, but should be quite a bit lower.

I am too shy to give a token tip as low as 100. Girls expect me to be able to afford more than that. More likely I would give 100 tip to the drinks delivery girl if I like the service.

For good service an MP girl is worth 1500 or more. They had no pay rise for many years while gogo girls are making much more for delivering much less. So I tip MP girls accordingly. For many gogo girls I vary the payment too depending what I feel is fair. Not that high a percentage of girls negotiated a fee beforehand.

Many posters used to think I talked bullshit on this topic of girls making rather less than 1500. BKK Mick is known to be very knowledgeable. He does give reliable info.

The low amount BJ shop (like Lolly-tas) girls can get from their first couple of customers per day, would be surprise some. Dr. BJ girls get quite little per BJ too. Around 50% of the fee. Wrong, in talking to one of the worker bees she told me that the girls have to pay the house 250 b for each customer +150 b per day for electricity and water to wash your dirty asses. So any tip over the 1500 would greatly help these ladies defer her the cost of giving you a great service. Meaning if you tip 300 b that you actually goes to the girl actually goes to the house. Yes it is well known by a few of us, particularly as I speak Thai well and am interested in many aspects that others never inquire about, that girls have to pay the house fees for electricity, soaps and shampoos, condoms, etc. Also fines for various infringements against the rules, with some shops having heavy fines for non attendance. Girls that have known me for a long time are generally open with me and not very secretive.

So those that blissfully believed the girl made 1500 in all shops was quite mistaken. Also girls get less than 1500 from an "all in" fee typically. Sometimes as high as 1400, sometimes less.

I never bothered with tips very small. If I think the girl deserves a tip for a really good performance, I am usually doing 500 as a minimum tip. Girls certainly appreciate this given I usually make them work harder than average being a difficult to cum customer, plus I take 90 to 120 min sessions where the girl obviously deserves to be paid more than for a 1 hour easy customer.

Yes, you are right about this. Boss is quite strict with her ladies. But Tulip is still the most successful soapy from the Farang orientated soapies on Sukhumvit. The girls at least have a chance to get a decent amount of customers per day which is not a given in the other shops. They also have to pay the shop 3000 Baht if they want to take a day off aside from their normal day in the week. The 300 Baht tip at least takes care of their overheads. I have just been comparing with my girl what she netted at Tulip in comparison to working in Malaysia. After paying the agent and the flight she actually made the same money at Tulip than in Malaysia without the risks.

Went to Tulip yesterday about 2:30 pm. Hoping for Opor or View but nada. About 8 girls available I picked someone I hadn't seem before for a 90 min session. 1. In a Soapy house, a significant part of the session (could be more than 50%) is spent in a bathtub or Jacuzzi, with a girl, getting the customer all clean and scrubbed, (this could happen at some Oilies), before moving to the bed for sex. So a lot of the time gets sort of wasted..

I'm in same boat as OP. Somewhat naive as to the specifics. Also, I generally can't. For sight reasons- spend very long each session at PC scrolling thru '000's of posts, so this is good. A 'sticky' or 101-type reference page would be useful in many cases for newbies. The reports are great but the 'nuts and bolts' of the types of places available is good to know. Thanks.

The essential differences that occur to me right now

Soapy line ups are some times seated behind glass panels to insulate the girls and customers form hearing each other. You could drink something or even eat before making a selection.
3. Oily massage usually provides Oil, Gel, Lotion massages. These may not be available at a Soapy. Soapies favour Thai Massage or no massage at all.
4. Oily rooms are often quite small. Soapy rooms should be larger generally.
5. Oily girls maybe dressed very sexily and scantily in some cases, i.e. very revealingly. Girls are more dressed up in Soapies normally, not so revealingly, in fact keeping figure problems well hidden.

Tulip is a shop for pornstars operating in very small rooms with a shower but no bath. So not like a Soapy in any way really.

In my opinion, Annies is only a borderline Soapy (being kind to it), since you are not encouraged to hang around without choosing for too long. It is in many ways more similar to an Oily to my thinking. Small rooms. Girls dressed like an Oily. Girls do not stay behind the fishbowl glass continuously as customers come and go like in true Soapies. Not much time is spent in the bath, I expect. Having a bath, and putting line up girls briefly behind glass for quick line up, is not really enough to make Annies feel like a Soapy to me. It's more like a Hybrid Oily/Soapy.

Tulip is considered an oily massage shop but the massage part is basically a ruse. It can be full service sex only if you prefer.

You take a shower before and after (and sometimes during) the session. There is a smaller sized bed in the room.

Prices are 1900/2100/2300 baht for 60/90/120 minutes. A small tip for good service is appreciated but not required.

Generally 1 shot for 1 hour and multiple shots for longer sessions but YMMV.
