Sorry if this has been covered. I tried to RTFF first but could not find an answer.
I had no problems at the Austrian Gardens. The guys next to me had different girls every night and partied with them on the porch outside their room. I had girls stay with me. It was an SHA hotel and we were all doing quarantine. The girls just had to give their ID to the guy who manned the reception / restaurant area at night.
I guess if you had one girl stay multiple days, then you might have to pay for a second person in your room, but I never had that situation. Given the price of the room, just booking for two people probably wouldn't cost much at all.
If you look back over the last few pages of this thread, I provided some additional info about that hotel.

This is an excellent question. Hopefully no one who answers thinks you are asking about hotels in general instead of SHA+ Hotels in a Sandbox.
When and if Pattaya has a Sandbox, I intend to invite a different lady every night, after returning from abroad.

I love those looks! Can be a highlight of a trip. My personal favorite was a 2:00 AM hotel elevator ride with 3 older Indian couples and my freelancer. This freelancer was dressed much more obvious than most that I've seen in Thailand (low cut blouse, hot pants, thigh high stockings, fuck-me-pumps, and heavy make-up). One lady just couldn't stop from smiling and laughing. Meanwhile, the 3 husbands avoided all eye contact, full knowing they would like to trade positions with me.

In my experience, "... register her upon checkin" means that she gets full hotel privileges for your entire stay. Entry to your room when you aren't there. Room service. Restaurant. She can get all that stuff and it goes on your bill without your approval.
You must be certain about a girl if you register her upon check in. I've done it a few times with good success, but never with a P4P girl.

I'm staying at the Title Beachfront condos and nobody said anything to me when I brought home a girl at 10: pm. There is a little side gate that allows you to bypass the reception area, but the side gate was just painted, so I had to bring her though the reception area. No problem.

I called them and it was interesting. If I bring an "friend" I need to pay 1000 extra, and she needs 2 doses. I heard everyone is vaccinated in Phuket, what are the chances that my girl is not?
Wondering if this is a policy due to SHA or just this hotel?

That is an obsession of a lot of girls. They always want to have breakfast at the hotel if it is half decent. I think it is a status thing to tell friends.

Depends on the individual hotel, you have to ask them specifically. Most are ok (they know the game) and if she's fully vaxxed (with a certificate) and a regular (ie you're not bringing a new girl back every night) would be really surprised if they had any problems.
Speedo.

I had the same experience. But I was managed to negotiate with them. If you have talked with them I believe you could also managed that.
But it may depends case by case.

Usually the "guest friendly" hotels are ok if you book a double, but I would not be surprised at a surcharge for a third person. It reminds me tho how funny Thailand's mixed messages are on prostitution which is technically illegal.

Yes, the Sleep with Me Hotel told me the same thing. First they said it was ok, but when I pressed because of the wording of his response, they said the first is free but it's 1000 BHT for each additional guest. I said, "But the room is 800 BHT. So the prices is more than doubled if I have a guest, even though I am just one person and the price of 800 if for two people?" he said that was correct.
So I went elsewhere. I'm hoping I won't have a problem, but I asked for the woman's name who told me I could have guests every night but the first night, so at least I have a name to point to.

They know exactly what is going on and will answer straight up front about yes or no, and how much if anything to pay.
With Sandbox if that's how you are coming in, then they may require the girl to show ID and vaccination status.
Also, you can't have anyone join you first day / night until you get your arrival covid test, yes all clear.
