I assume there will be a party today. I've gone to most of them since 2012. These events are not what they used to be. The past 4-5 years the energy and talent have been diminishing. Its not been fruitful at all. Now, I read here that the catalysts (Robert, Alexa, etc.) are gone. So, I sit here debating whether to attend. I have some other reliable options.

Even as I contacted them today, the staff still claim that an ownership change is just a rumour and nothing has changed in terms of operating business. Think I'll wait just a bit more before booking for May / June.

The place was never a deal breaker nor a deal maker and has been in a state of decline. Some say it's a safer place to stay but I say maybe. One can search but there have been armed robberies there, police raids, etc and who wants stink eye from the neighbors like you get there?

Who gives you the stink eye? The neigbbors are high rise businesses. The only person I ever see is a security guard. And why would I care what he or she thinks?

It is undeniably safer than many other options. But certainly anything could happen. It's been many years since they've had any incident like that robbery.

I'd agree on the decline. And not even so much about the accomodations, which are not great. But the last year has been horribly inconsistent. At different times, they've banned all girls from the pool during the day and then allow them back. Only to change their policies again. The bar has been closed more than once. And one time was a couple weeks. You just don't know what to expect from them anymore, other than 2-star accomodations.

Oh the fun I've had in 106...But my best times were in 106.

Trust me I begged them for that room this time and I'd gladly pay 3 x an Airbnb price for that room. But atlas it's not available on my dates.

So my last trip I stayed in the Mansion in one of the nicer rooms. 106 for those who know the mansion well.

Oh the fun I've had in 106. LOL My first stay at the mansion, I got that room by luck. I didn't know anything about the place. But apparently someone canceled right before I arrived. They offered me that room for a few dollars more a night. Good decision. Not recommended for light sleepers or for those that go to sleep early. But my best times were in 106.

I hear you. But my friend has never been outside the US except for a cruise in Italy last year so he's nervous for 1 and 2, I also really liked the bar last year, it was just soooo damn convenient with the added safety aspect. That said paying 3 x as much for lesser quality lodging really is making the decision difficult.

Just me, but I stay at the Mansion if I visit MDE by myself because I like having "friends" around me. If I go with a friend, might as well stay in a nice apartment.

Not aware if they recently raised prices.

So my last trip I stayed in the Mansion in one of the nicer rooms. 106 for those who know the mansion well. I'm going back and forth about whether to stay this time per my previous post. My newbie friend is coming along and I offered to pay his lodging. I found a great airbnb about 2 block from Lleras for $200 usd (total) for the 3 nights we are there. I remember the last time I went solo the Mansion was under $75 usd per night but now the total bill for 2 rooms for 3 nights is going to be $600 usd.

Have prices gone way up? Am I missing something here, becuz I'd truly prefer to stay in the mansion.

Just me, but I stay at the Mansion if I visit MDE by myself because I like having "friends" around me. If I go with a friend, might as well stay in a nice apartment.

Just curious I'll be in town, Monday thru Wednesday at the end of the month. I've stayed in both an airbnb and the Mansion in the past. My preference is the Mansion because it felt so safe and non-judgemental. The airbnb had a ton of no sex tourism signs etc, which was really annoying. I'm planning on staying there but wondering how dead it will be. Bar and poolside.

Had a buddy that was at the Mansion last week. Said everything was running normal. Good selection poolside day 6-10 and in the bar varies from 10-20. If you want to go to the Mansion, hope they have space for you. Only M1 is open for guests now. I book 6 mo-1 yr or more out.

Peak times are around 10-midnight. About 10-20 girls, it varies, they flow in an out. Was there Thursday and Friday night and it was good. Around 12:30 is when you see girls decide if they want to head up to Lleras to hit the clubs.
