Posts: 756Will Be There In Two Weeks. How's Current Scene?
I'll be in MDE in about two weeks staying at Hotel M for three nights in mid May. How's the current scene over there at the hotel bar? Is the quality and selection of the girls (at least for Thursday to Saturday nights) similar to the ones at Parque Lleras and the strip clubs or have they bottomed out to that of the el Centro girls? Are they still willing to go back to the hotel M rooms for $200 K?

Seeking used to be a great resource but it is now filled with scammers and crazy chicks who think they are in Miami. I've been to MDE about 20 times in the last 7 years. Started at the mansion and followed the usual progression to airbnbs. Since COVID the quality at the mansion has plummeted. Add in increasing drugging, street crime, increasing hostility by locals and the strong Peso, I'll not be returning anytime soon.

Seriously, it all depends on the bartender. It is very much a chill hangout lounge / space type feel if you sit outside the main bar area (smoking area); but the vibe has a lot to do with the bartender and what music they play. Some are really loud and can be distracting, and others play music at a lower level and slow the whole place down (I prefer something in the middle). I can sometimes tell who is working by the music when I walk in. Those who been there often will know what I mean when you walk in and hear that Colombian mountain country music playing (I don't know what else to call that music), meaning the bartender who looks a little like Brittany Murphy was likely working. If you heard Mexican music, then one could take a guess that maybe Angy was running it. And so forth.

Posts: 756What Type Of Atmosphere Is The Cave At The Mansion?
Is the Cave bar at the Hotel M more like a loud booming disco setup or is it more like a lower key (less noisy) lounge type of atmosphere?
