The other post recently said there is hardly any gringo there now? This is crazy! What do these people do, not giving some sort of instant reservation system, or at least a WhatsApp channel? This email sending is idiotic! I sent an email and didn't even get anything back other than "before we begin, can you tell us how you heard about us"? I guess maybe they just want to be sure there isn't someone checking in by accident who would be offended by the action, ok.

So if I didn't have the week planned with my two princesses plus a bunch of other options which I landed on my first day of trying, even a date with what could be wife material, then I would definitely come and try it out. Sounds like ideal for the gringo travelers with a short time disposable only, you know, those who insanely ratchet up the prices in El Poblado. Why wouldn't they go to M? Ah, because their reservations are so difficult to get.

PS: I actually DO understand why the management doesn't want to open it up much for non-guests. And I agree with them! In order to have the relaxed and *safe* environment, you want only guests there and not some outside locals who come in an stealing shit or in other ways perturb the atmosphere. What they should do is something to get more guests. And the best way to do that would be to first open up a WhatsApp channel for more instant reservations.

I would be surprised if there actually were any lack of guests in the hotel. Generally they are booked up. Not all guests hang out in the bar that is next to the hotel. Anyway. One of the big issues with this whole establishment is that they have to stay under the radar. I think this is a big factor in their reservation and lack of promotion policies. Perhaps they have a tacit understanding with the powers that be as to some of the numbers. I don't know any of that. But they are operating in an area that is not zoned for what they are really doing and so considerable discretion is required as to the nature of their guests and the services they allow.

As for the new minimum rule of 300 K. Each girls is their own person. I had no problem paying 250 K and would sometimes tip. Girls with a good connection just want to see you again. They want to eat a meal, take a walk and most love showing you their country. But like I've said before in other countries, even though most girls would go with you for the transaction, its' much better once you establish a connection. Some guys put no effort into the chase and then complain about the experience. For me I want to have a GF or even a P.S. Experience and I don't want a clock watcher. It has been terribly slow there this past couple of weeks. No gringo's staying there I guess. Last night I stopped by again, 25 girls and 1-2 guys. After 20 minutes I was the only guy. Same old tired girls but you really have to stop in every night to catch a newbie. My favorite type. Talked to one girl last night who hadn't been there in 5 months and probably won't come back. There simply isn't any customers. One of my regulars there told me they stopped the girls from coming in the day by the pool just this week. Not sure why.

I don't understand the management there. Why with that many girls would you not allow outside local guys, at least charge something reasonable or only on the weekends have a cover charge instead of the 50 K every night. At some point the girls will just stop coming.

They have a bar next door at night where there can be anywhere from 6-20 on average. Make reservations by email. I make mine a year in advance to get the room I want. Rooms similar to BB, nothing fancy. Breakfast is included.

Daytime girl numbers seemed high (7-12) when I first arrived at the end of July. I assume rent is due. Then it seem to drop to sometimes 2-3. My issue really is its the same girls everyday. So for me the bar is the place. I am always pulling a girl and at the same time getting numbers for my daytime action to come back. This trip I met plenty of first timers to the bar. And if you don't get their number you may not see them again. For most girls this is a word of mouth place to make a little extra cash when in a pinch. Some even travel into the city and stay a week to give it a try. It's safe, girls are vetted with ID and the "union" sort of keeps them in line. Most do not want to be banned from the place. The place really has a bit of family feel. I've known girls there for years that I've never been with. I've been to Medellin many times, but I never visited this place. I'll be there next month and I'm planning to hangout at the bar during night times to see the talents. I usually book girls for multiple hours as I love longer sessions. Some guys just want to fuck and call it a day. I love to get to know girls, spend time with them and do other stuffs besides fucking LOL. This way, they get comfortable with you and knowing them more will always give you a better experience and they will be open to try new things with you.

Anyone been to the mansion lately? Last time I was there and everything I've heard was that it's value has decreased significantly. VERY few girls there during the day. I'm really wondering if that has hurt the business in the bar. I'm thinking of another MDE visit. While I won't stay at the hotel, that bar usually acts as a home base for me.

We were there early-mid August (3 of us). They do have new rules (that I am not thrilled about) which result in less girls during the day. Not sure the reason (I suspect to make it easier for girls to make money), but there was enough selection that we had no daytime problems. I just prefer a larger selection (used to 6-12 hanging out there, not 4-6). At night the bar is doing great, goes in waves as always, but new girls show up every night mixed with regulars. So we had a fantastic time there. Going back for Halloween. Of course, you can just as easily rent an AirBnb (not sure any actual savings, they get expensive) and visit the bar at night (entrance fee for non-guests is $50 K COP or $12.50 USD).

Man, you are better than me. I was there for last year's halloween party. I couldn't stay. It was literally shoulder to shoulder. It was crazy.

The new rules are bothersome. I can tell you the regular girls hate it. They have to basically reserve a day. The girls I know well get 1 day a week at the pool. Given that they are setting a minimum now, I suspect fewer girls help drive up the price. Honestly, I wonder what the hotel gets out of that minimum. I know they've had some problem girls and that was the first reason they limited the girls. (I was at the bar when they first started telling all the girls about the schedule. Whew! Were tempers high that night!

Really, I'm going to pass on the mansion and the bar. Just out of principle. I don't understand why they'd set a minimum. I'm not a cheap charlie. Although I had a couple freebies there, I typically paid between 300 k and 400 k with tip. But if you put a minimum in place? No. Sorry. Not doing that.

Here right now, oneish week in to my 2 week stay. In the bar Sunday and Monday were soft with the amount of girls but Thursday / Friday / Saturday had plenty of girls to choose from. I feel like the daytime choices really fluctuate someone said if they want to come during the day, they have to commit to coming 5 out of the 7 days on the dayshift and that's not always feasible for the girls. Four out of my five trips to Colombia have been exclusively at the mansion. I think its the best choice for first timers and those with limited spanish. The value the hotel provides is easy access to girls and networking with other like minded mongers. A few days ago one guy led a trip to several of the casas in centro. Most nights someone is going to dinner somewhere and are happy to have others to eat and talk with. I got invited to a future trip to Brazil. The hotel feels dated and run down in some areas, but they are trying to revitalize it with room updates and construction. The wifi is still poor in some rooms and needs some work.

I'll answer with my knowledge, albeit dated a few months. Yes, and yes. If you don't stay there, you'll have to pay a cover. Either 40 K or 50 K. All girls in that bar are working. The bar itself is nothing special. Kind of a dive, if you ask me. But it can be fun. It's worth a stop in. It opens at 6. I wouldn't get there before 8. But I'd recommend 9 or even 10. Quantity varies widely. And it's probably full of 7's. But I have never received bad service from any of those girls.
