    Mansion Update

As I mentioned earlier in a post for Medellin Reports I just wrapped up a 6 week stay in Colombia with 4 weeks at the Mansion. Daytime girl numbers seemed high (7-12) when I first arrived at the end of July. I assume rent is due. Then it seem to drop to sometimes 2-3. My issue really is its the same girls everyday. So for me the bar is the place. I am always pulling a girl and at the same time getting numbers for my daytime action to come back. This trip I met plenty of first timers to the bar. And if you don't get their number you may not see them again. For most girls this is a word of mouth place to make a little extra cash when in a pinch. Some even travel into the city and stay a week to give it a try. It's safe, girls are vetted with ID and the "union" sort of keeps them in line. Most do not want to be banned from the place. The place really has a bit of family feel. I've known girls there for years that I've never been with. The girls have friends there, they trust them and it's a safe place for them to come and feel connected. As for the new minimum rule of 300 K. Each girls is their own person. I had no problem paying 250 K and would sometimes tip. Girls with a good connection just want to see you again. They want to eat a meal, take a walk and most love showing you their country. But like I've said before in other countries, even though most girls would go with you for the transaction, its' much better once you establish a connection. Some guys put no effort into the chase and then complain about the experience. For me I want to have a GF or even a P.S. Experience and I don't want a clock watcher. I had one newbie this trip, 19 year old little spinner, who overnighted with me the first time and still took 300 K, and after the third time, took it nicely in the ass and let me shoot a load all over her mouth and face in the shower.

I've met you a couple of times at the mansion & would like to hear your take on the current scene. Have you been there lately?

I'm really wondering if that has hurt the business in the bar. I'm thinking of another MDE visit. While I won't stay at the hotel, that bar usually acts as a home base for me.

Not sure the reason (I suspect to make it easier for girls to make money), but there was enough selection that we had no daytime problems. I just prefer a larger selection (used to 6-12 hanging out there, not 4-6). At night the bar is doing great, goes in waves as always, but new girls show up every night mixed with regulars. So we had a fantastic time there. Going back for Halloween. Of course, you can just as easily rent an AirBnb (not sure any actual savings, they get expensive) and visit the bar at night (entrance fee for non-guests is $50 K COP or $12.50 USD).
Man, you are better than me. I was there for last year's halloween party. I couldn't stay. It was literally shoulder to shoulder. It was crazy.

The new rules are bothersome. I can tell you the regular girls hate it. They have to basically reserve a day. The girls I know well get 1 day a week at the pool. Given that they are setting a minimum now, I suspect fewer girls help drive up the price. Honestly, I wonder what the hotel gets out of that minimum. I know they've had some problem girls and that was the first reason they limited the girls. (I was at the bar when they first started telling all the girls about the schedule. Whew! Were tempers high that night!

Really, I'm going to pass on the mansion and the bar. Just out of principle. I don't understand why they'd set a minimum. I'm not a cheap charlie. Although I had a couple freebies there, I typically paid between 300 k and 400 k with tip. But if you put a minimum in place? No. Sorry. Not doing that.

Here right now, oneish week in to my 2 week stay. In the bar Sunday and Monday were soft with the amount of girls but Thursday / Friday / Saturday had plenty of girls to choose from. I feel like the daytime choices really fluctuate someone said if they want to come during the day, they have to commit to coming 5 out of the 7 days on the dayshift and that's not always feasible for the girls. Four out of my five trips to Colombia have been exclusively at the mansion. I think its the best choice for first timers and those with limited spanish. The value the hotel provides is easy access to girls and networking with other like minded mongers. A few days ago one guy led a trip to several of the casas in centro. Most nights someone is going to dinner somewhere and are happy to have others to eat and talk with. I got invited to a future trip to Brazil. The hotel feels dated and run down in some areas, but they are trying to revitalize it with room updates and construction. The wifi is still poor in some rooms and needs some work.

I'll answer with my knowledge, albeit dated a few months. Yes, and yes. If you don't stay there, you'll have to pay a cover. Either 40 K or 50 K. All girls in that bar are working. The bar itself is nothing special. Kind of a dive, if you ask me. But it can be fun. It's worth a stop in. It opens at 6. I wouldn't get there before 8. But I'd recommend 9 or even 10. Quantity varies widely. And it's probably full of 7's. But I have never received bad service from any of those girls.

    Do you need to stay

Does anybody have this problem with trying to make a deposit for a room at this place?

Was there last in June (was there when the bar closed up for a month, now open again), back in two weeks.

You have to email them to get the current room rate list. But all the rooms are listed there. There are additional rooms at another house up the hill (http://www.casaalejandria.com/) but you really don't want to mess with that, as the walk is a pain and all the action is at the main hotel. There are daytime girls (there are so many slots per day, the girls rotate through them, no charge for the girls, but they have to call ahead to get a slot) and then at night they have converted what used to be a large 4+ car garage into a separate bar / club (La Cueva, El Bar, etc.). To keep it legally separate, the entrance is external (there is an internal entrance, but only staff has access to that). Google Maps Street View shows it well. The club is open-to-all, free for girls, free for guests, and $50 k COP for non-guests. It goes in waves at night. There's a pre-dinner wave (6-9, a dinner wave, 9-11, and a post dinner wave 11-1/2). You can see between 3-25 girls there at various times, with the highest popularity on Wed-Fri nights (though Sat is not bad). You are free to invite / bring-back any girl from outside, no charge, but they will verify / record their ID.

The hotel includes free breakfast every morning (including for any girl who stayed with you overnight), room service per-request (including in between girls), and screens the ID of every girl who comes it (and records it). They have plenty of cameras too, and girls are afraid of getting 'banned' (which happens easily) so it is very safe and chill. Current going rate (mostly due to inflation) is $300 k COP ($75) but you can negotiate down to $250 k or higher-end ones might demand $400 k. I find an overnight is relatively easy (11+ pm some girls ask and offer for free, so they don't have to get a ride back home too late) and if you are paying maybe $300 k more. But very negotiable..

There is working WIFI (thank me later, this took some time investment from me to get them to fix it right last time I was there), and a number of rooms have small desks and are mostly quiet enough you can get work done. A small refrigerator in each one lets you store your drink and snacks. There is a Davidienda Bank / ATM right down from the hotel for easy ATM money withdrawal, and easy money exchange at the Oviedo Mall walking distance from the hotel. Oviedo Mall also has the nearest supermarket (through there is more than one), also walking distance.
