    Medellin so far.

After many lovely sunsets in the DR, I thought I would never be able to live without a beach. Boy was I wrong. I previously thought San Diego California had the best all around weather but Medellin is now tops. It's like you have climate control adjusted perfectly. Days aren't to hot and nights aren't too cold. Even the rain here is different.

The people here are very nice and peaceful. Went to Sabanetta yesterday with some top youtubers to explore and had a great time. Hit me on the email if you want to see the links.

Problem I'm having here now is I've falling back into "Tourist mode". Chasing girls, staying out late and spending money foolishly, got to reel myself in and get re focused. School, working out and learning to Latin dance were my priorities. Got to reset.

Yes, I do miss the DR because it's my first travel love and the girls are available and fun but I don't miss the stupid shit the some locals do to waste your time and take you through bullshit. IMO the DR is great for a visit but it's for the newbies now. I loved the DR for ten years as a tourist but hated my 6 months living adventure.

The final straw for me was when me and a friend went to plaza llama in bella vista to buy a toaster over for 4000 pesos in the paper advertisement. The photo matched the oven and the SKU were the same. I called the girl and she checked the sky and went to the back. The Male sales clerk came out with the oven and we went to the checkout cashier. The cashier couldn't find the price so she called over another girl and they huddled like a football team. I'm showing them the paper add but they don't care. After 20 minutes she said the price is now 4400 pesos. I told her to honor the advertisement but she said " this is not America ". WTF, but I really wanted it. I only brought 4 k but my boy said give him the 4 k and he will put it on his credit card. He did and we are now walking out an hour later. The guy at the door with the marker decided to play detective and escorted us back saying everything is wrong. Now its six Dominicans standing around the register and can't figure out the price in their store. I asked for the manager and she came and after 20 minutes says the correct price is 4 k but they don't do cash refunds on cash purchases WTF. No I'm pissed when my boy finally got fed up and remembered I paid with his credit card. He threatened to cancel the transaction if I didn't get me 400 pesos refund. The manager folded her arms and said refunds take a lot of paperwork and we have to call the CC company. She stormed off and returned 30 minutes later with a bad attitude and we finally canceled the card purchase and I brought the oven for 4 k cash finally. I wasted 3 hours of my precious time in the store trying to find out the price of their item and finally buying it.

I realized soon the I needed a place where police do their job, and the people are accountable. Law abiding citizens are a must. Most people in the DR fit these categories but it's a nonchalant way of living that's too laid back for me. But overall the DR is the best party on this side of the globe.

    Colombia.

There are always minimum investment requirements with business visas or the purchase or real estate. Elaborate on those minimum requirements.

I apologize Tempo, you are eligible for a retirement pension Visa for 3 years if you are currently getting at least 1 k a month in retirement pension from your home country. They also have a student Visa if you are enrolled in certain universities and that lasts 1 year. There is also a Visa if you buy property or open a business.

    Hey Tempo,

I really miss hanging out with you enjoying the festivities. I've been meeting some cool expats who have taken me under their wings and offered invitations to parties and local trips so I will keep you advised.

For someone retired they have great benefits here. I was talking with WRX today about these benefits. If you have a retirement pension of about 1 k a month you are eligible for a 3 year retirement pension for about 400 usd if you do it yourself or if you use an agency about 700 usd. Also SURA premium plan costs about 100 usd a month for health insurance in Colombia. Factor in the wonderful weather and its paradise without a beach. Called Tampa and the DR today and heard it is already hot as hell. I sleep with the window open and the temperature is around 70 degrees. Even during the day it's not hot but cool.

Went to el Centro today and they have about 5 casas with girls for about 20-30 usd. Online is the game for pros and semi pros. Normal girls are in play if you know Spanish and have charisma and patience. I took my video channel down because I want to maintain some privacy with the new Youtubers popping up everywhere, so I will continue to post my adventures here. Thanks Tempo for supporting the Gogo channel.

    Medellin.

I will get back to my Philippines jaunt later.

    Medellin:

Stopped in "Sweet Georgia cafe" yesterday for the first time and I was really impressed. So impressed I went back today and spent a few hours there hanging with the fellas talking sports, money and the upcoming boxing match between Canelo and Jacob's Saturday night. BTW the are showing the fight there with food Saturday night. What impressed me was the collection of brothers, Colombian girls and even a few Colombian dudes all hanging out while James Brown played soul on the TV. Its in Laureles so check it out if you want to break the tourist traps like Parque Illeras.

Speaking of Parque lleras, I was hanging out there last night from 11 pm till 2 am. I grabbed a Heineken in a bag and posted up at the top of the stairs where the working girls congregate. Half the girls slinked on over to my part of the steps to find out my angle. Prices were crazy. 300 k for an hour and then when I laughed and waved them away they would quickly say 200 k. Some were pushy with their " let's go now" talk. Any girl that rushes me is on the back burner. Hit a few clubs and got a few wassap numbers but I also wanted to see the new stock arrive at midnight. Basically the same 10 girls doing their rounds in groups of 2. Saw a couple that made the cut and decided to make one final sweep through.

They wouldn't budge but talked a good game. Danila a skinny light skinned paisa decided I was hers and trailed my every move. We had a few laughs and I gave her a hard thought but she wouldn't come off her price. I walked to a cab in front of Havana something and looked back at her giving me a disappointed look and walked over to her. Its final pitch time and she stayed to her price. I'm in Belen by exito so the cab ride was short but I still want to play, so I stopped at a bar across from exito and had a beer. I then remembered this one girl from the steps who had a scotter, so I hit her on wassap and we discussed terms.

I kind of wanted a playmate for the night to drink a few beers with, watch music videos and maybe a round now and one in the morning but she wasn't giving that at my price so a quickie had to do. The funny part is I have flea market dresses (cost 5 usd each), gourmet chocolate and all kinds of candy from the states but she didn't make the cut. Overall not worth the 150 k I gave her but now she is blowing up my phone begging for a repeat, sorry honey no puedo.

Also today went to the university EAFIT to gather information on some classes but quickly realized it would be impossible to learn anything with all these fine girls walking around but the university is nice. Also if you live in Belen or near 80 avenida the 303 bus goes directly to EAFIT for 2200 pesos one way. I've got three months here so it's about taking everything in and letting things come to me. I'm not on a one week vacation where all is rushed. Met a couple brothers at Sweet Georgia cafe who wanted to hook me up with sisters of their girlfriends, even showing photos so maybe I will play that angle but I'm not ready to become some girls retirement plan so maybe not.

Oh yeah, following Mr E recommendations I hit Bara Ejecutiva and the bar next door at 10 pm and really liked those spots. Nice looking girls with plastic, tattoos and good prices. I was quoted 150 k TLN. Decided to walk up the street to smoke my electric cigarette and posted up at that pedestrian mall about 100 yards from Bara ejecutiva. Groups of guys and hardcore girls looking for a victim. I stayed near the street and out of nowhere 10 cops on motorcycles jumped off their bikes and lined everyone up against the wall and searched them. I was happy because I could now wonder down that way without worrying about one of these guys having weapons. The farther I walked the weirder it got. Anything negative you can think of was down that way some sneakily in dark areas.

Crackheads, homeless people begging and some girls that I couldn't identify. I just kept my buffer comfort zone and when they couldn't violate it they would just give up on me. El Centro has everything seedy you could ever ask for, but I want to go back LOL. Especially for the strip club girls as they seemed more realistic with their pricing.

Definitely one of the best beaches in the world right under Maldives. This is when me and my girlfriend went to Boracay a few years back. We are going to Siargao next month to see how that one is.

    Boracay-prettiest beach.

    Boracay:

Let me quickly catch you up on Boracay. Its always talked about as the best of the best but not without a storied recent history. President Duerte recently shut down the whole island for 8 months and they are well on their way to regaining their world wide status due to his actions. Did I just say he shut down the whole island? Yes I did.

The loss of revenue was projected to be between 18-20 billion for the first 6 months. It included 3 casinos and 400 hotels. It was 36000 jobs lost. Every business had to reapply to meet new standards of having proper sewage disposal. No more dumping in the ocean near Boracay. Only 19000 people will now be allowed on the island at one time and everyone needs an affirmed hotel reservation to show before boarding the jetty to the island. No more smoking and drinking on the beach. I noticed septic trucks outside our hotel every night late.

I went a month after it reopened last year and it even smelled fresh. Many hotels are still closed because of not meeting certification, or money problems. Still, it was the prettiest beach I have ever seen In my travels. You have moments where certain places at certain times just makes you appreciate the beauty we have on this earth. Boracay with its new found beauty, Medellin with its valley views as you seem like you are in a bowl, and Santiago DR where you can go into the surrounding hills and see views of Santiago like you can reach down and touch it.

The aggressive expat, lets call him AE, said he and another dude were going to Boracay to meet some girls one guy knew and would I like to go. Road trip, why not. He was flying out of Manilla to Kalibo airport. I checked flights and saw he was flying into Kalibo airport instead of Boracay and he confirmed this. WTF, I'm seeing flights for 99 usd from Clark airport to Calican airport which is closer to Boracay plus I don't have to travel to Manila because Clark is next to AC. Well we booked different flights to different places. They went to Kalibo to meet the girls but only one guys girl showed leaving AC solo. After two days there they met up with me after taking the bus to Boracay.

Let me say I've never been into Chinese and Korean girls but now I am. The strolled the beach representing their countries very well. Throw in a sprinkle of Russians and Euros and you have Boracay with the Filipinas holding their own. Boracay has about 50 bars with live music, restaurants and souvenir shops. Seems the same 15 working girls strolled the beach in their little gang servicing tourists.

AC recommended an island excursion that was advertised at 3 k pesos but he was saying he negotiated them down to 1 k. I looked at him crazy and said okay if he could pull it off, and he did. For 1 k we took a boat trip for 40 minutes to some unknown place. Dirt basketball courts, tin houses, barefoot locals all came to see us. I met a black Filipino family that lives at a pier and fishes all day, and did an interview.

It was one of those moments in life that has special meaning. As I left I gave the 3 adults 1 k each for their beautiful kids. I asked the mother if she was happy and she said yes. Here is a barefoot lady living under a pier with her 3 kids and is at total peace on this earth. I will say that the blacker Filipinos seemed to be distant from the rest of the Filipinos.

Next up the excursion and ice cream man.

I think they are two different yachts. The one in San Juan harbor has sails and a pool in front. The one I saw had no sails and pool forward. I have videos of everything so if you like I will put the videos in your wassap. My videos of the island hops off boracay and hanging with locals who don't even have shoes. Also meeting a black Philippine family. And my favorite, the " Ice cream man" We were out to sea and out of nowhere is this guy selling videos in the ocean. All on video.

You are correct. Even though that area is expensive the euro tourist love it. I really wanted to go in and swim with the dolphins but not at that price.

    Finding A.

While sitting at Blue rock one evening watching the sunset listening to music, I noticed something anchored in Subic bay that was and white. It had an unusual design, something futuristic. It always peaked my interest but what could I do.

A couple days later I rented the scooter and set out at 9 am on a day road trip. My landlord had told me about some upscale sea park with pools and animals you could swim with, called Ocean something.

I left Subic, filled the tank (100 p), and eased on down the winding road with the view. I skipped downtown Olongopo by going through the old base that's now called the "Freeport zone, FZ. On the other side of FZ I passed a Nike outlet and a Pure gold store and turned right. Man. Now I'm on the other side of SB going up into the mountains enjoying my ride at no more that 40 mph. The roads had trees covering them for shade but every 5 minutes it would be a break to see views showing SB at its finest. Little monkeys in groups would watch me cruise by without reaction. FWIW, someone told me the Philippines didn't have squirles and I never saw one my whole stay.

As I'm riding down a shade covered street I see a guards booth but they have their legs propped up like I want a worried, so I never stopped. I see Ocean park signs but something big and white caught me eye to the left. I got nervous not knowing if I violated by being here. Was this some top secret experiment that the public shouldn't see? Well I parked my bike in the parking lot near the huge vessel.

It was yacht A. Its owned by Andrew MienChenko. He is the 7th richest guy in the world, Russian. When released in 2017, yacht A was the biggest yacht in that period. Its 469 feet long, indoor outdoor pool, crew of 20 and almost 400 million to build. She was the prettiest ship I have ever seen.

I walked to her taking pictures expecting to be escorted away. As I walked toward the aft of the ship I noticed a hidden resort. WTF, I'm going to see how far I could go. Security was talking among themselves so I acted like a harmless tourist wide eyed.

The resort was shaped in a L design and it had its own private beach along with restaurants and shops. This was the euro elite. I heard every European language spoken. I had a salmon grilled in lemon with broccoli and rice for 620 p. I wanted a tour of A but nobody offered.

I left after lunch and found the ocean resort but it was too expensive. As I rode home before sunset and finally passed the girly bars I realized this place is heaven on earth.
