Lawyers you don't know are going to exploit you, probably in conjunction with the lawyers of the other party. STOP hanging or getting friendly with the police thinking your the man. All they are going to do is ask you for money. Yea I know they tell you to program their phone number into your phone in case "you have problem".
When a policeman came and handled a chica problem I had in Sosua and told me to put his number in my phone he did not ask for any money. When I totalled the rental car in the accident in Abreu neither the National Police who came and pushed the car out of the main road nor the AMET guy who came to make the report asked for money. As a matter of fact, the only thing that accident cost me was time. The time the tow truck had to take me and the car all the way back to Santo Domingo for me to get a replacement car.

The only times I have been asked for money is by the police that make a road block or by ones who see it is a rental car and pull me over. And I have always told them no. I am a living contradiction to what you are saying. I always drive in DR. I have totalled a car in DR and my life did not change. I have never given police who have asked for it money in DR. I have never been to jail in DR. STOP with your fear mongering.

Everyone is for themselves here. I came to find out I was charged without being charged for a crime when it was the other party's fault. They had not back tail lights no license ID or insurance to be on the bike especially at night with no back tail lights.

My passport was taken from me and held for over a week. My lawyer put a restriction on my passport after I paid him his fee and disappeared. I am told unless I give up 10,000 I can not leave the country and this was told to me by the district attorney or I have to wait six months. I no longer have any money and no more resources. I plan on suing everyone. It is sad because I wanted to live here and enjoy my live now I will never come back here again. It is crazy I work for the police department in New York I never committed a crime and I was trying to help the local church in Montellnao get bibles.

I wanted to find a way to help the kids on the street get some kind of education because that is the main problem education but what do you do when the city of Sosua is trying extort money from you.

I am best friends with many of the police offices here and really look out for me and protected me when I was detained. These guys really work hard protecting this city and deserve pay accordingly. ".

    Spectators

    Open season.

I found a spot run by a Swiss guy that has 80 pesos cubalibres and he makes them strong. Usually 4 will do for the night but after two of his I got to start watering down.

Anyway I post up and it's a newbie I and the strip. I know he is a newbie because the touts got him surrounded and he can't escape. Dude can't say no. Now the girls done got the message and he is through. He has the skankiest chicas on the strip acting like they got class. One girl had the same dress on last night LOL. I watch from 20 feet but I don't need to hear the script (Happy hour poppi, where you from etc. He just brought drinks for everyone even if he don't know it. Damn Gogo help him, nope. The girls are talking in front of him at the same table, he probably doesn't speak Spanish. He is in heaven with one fine girl and a skank thinking she had hit the lotto. Oh shit!! Homeboy is feeling the fine girl up but can he ditch the hustler chic skank. Three big Biz Markie (google it) brothers walked down the street as the newbie is in the bathroom. These girls have no shame. I'm giving you play by play from the strip as I sit in the suite watching. Let's see what happen?

Okay the dude is smooth no newbie he just came out the restroom on kissed both girls. The hustler jumped on his lap. It's a competition going on and the sweet girl is loosing. They look at me because they know they are wrong and I look away. The skank is still sitting on his lap rubbing his ears, he is probably thinking I'm getting my ass licked by the hustler.

They are huddled up like a football team probably negotiating the details. Damn the hustler just got up and pulled dude away to talk. This is a power play, friends become enemies. Hopefully he will see the hustle. Okay he's paying the bill. Homeboy had a plan he wanted two hope they don't roll him. I'm watching them walk down the strip hand in hand. Who said love is not alive LOL?

It's Tuesday so I'm saving up for the weekend so we will see how it plays out. Incidentally La Vega has humbled herself and been cool but I'm still teaching tough love.

Nothing is rigged and they are not skirting any laws. Some groups of people do the same everywhere they go. The Chinese will come to a new country with just the clothes on their back. They will establish connections and start selling something and make minimal profits until they finally have enough to open their own shop. They will also live in that same shop. They will grow their business and be able to open more shops. It is a slow process with endless back breaking work.

When another race sees their shops in their neighborhoods, they assume they had some kind of advantage, which is not true. Them mfs worked hard for that shit. They don't just decide to open a business then go pick out a Mercedes so they can front. They keep to the grindstone and to build a better life for their kids.

Last month I went to my favorite Pica Pollo place in Bonao about midnight. I asked the Chinese owner what time he closes. He said never. You can see where his family sleeps in the room behind the counter. How many people are going to put in that kind of dedication and fortitude? Then when you eventually see him with a big house and a chain of restaurants you think he did something special. Yeah. It is called work and sacrifice.

Health inspection is overrated. When I'm not holed up with uneducated hookers in a two-block radius in Sosua, I like to eat street foods all over the island. With the exception of a Dominican prison, I've indulged in a few places: Empanadas off back of a pickup truck in SD, chicharron on the highway in Bonao, etc. I don't think street vendors are subject to health or sanitation inspection. Of course, one should only eat stuff that's deep fried or constantly boiled like soups or stews. I wouldn't recommend ordering a Caesar salad off the street.

BTW, we always say the system is rigged in the DR against foreign business owners. If those rascally Chinese can skirt the law, they should really try to buy into DD'Latinos and Rumbas.

    Good reports, Gogo.

    Take a chance.

I hit Batey and stroll the strip shooing off the tramps. I decide to walk a side street for home and see a girl by the park arguing with the police. Something about a rambunctious chic that turns me on so I linger. She sees me and stops arguing as I walk to the side to get the chance for info. She says it's nothing and says she wants to go with me for 500 pesos. I know this is probably just a hustle to get to my crib and start some shit so I walk away with her saying "que pasa poppi, yo quiero, hablame ". I leave her and head up the hill as its now 2 am.

I walk up on a Colmado and it's a guy behind the grill and three girls. I walk over to look at the food but I have a side agenda. I know the girls are checking out the gringo in a white tee, Roche Nikes and jeans with a tennis / fishing hat on. It's a cheese burger and fries for 200 pesos. I'm still deciding and one of the cute girls says sit down. Now it's on. I sit down but this is a 200 pesos investment as I'm not hungry. One girl is fat and her brother is on the grill while the other two are sisters. The slim one is dressed in black with perfect maroon nails drawing my attention plus she speaks English and is from Puerto plata but visiting relatives here. The sister is a little chunky but gorgeous. I eat half my hamburger and offer to buy them a big presidente. You will be surprised what a 150 pesos beer can do to chicas. Me and the slim girl with the pretty nails are vibing as I size up the situation. Is the guy behind the grill in play with these chicas? It becomes a wait game.

We drink the big beer as the guy behind the grill tells stories. I want to force my hand but I got nothing to do so I hang out. Everything is good and it's a party on the side street. If you haven't been part of a party on a side street at a Colmado in the DR then you haven't experienced the real thing. This is what they do.

I tell the girl I have a nice crib and she can watch TV and sleep and and air conditioning but she refused. She is a good girl.

I can't leave because I got to finish this or cock block. The grill guy eventually starts putting up the white plastic chairs as I cheer inside.

It's closing and it's happening but the good girl says she is going to her mothers with her sister. We exchange what's up numbers and I kiss the girls and head off.

As I'm walking the ten minutes to my crib three skanks proposition me but fuck that I'm not Tomjackin LOL.

Get to my crib at 3:30 am and what's up slim Chica whose name is Carmen. She hits me back. I beg her to come sleep with me but she declines. We plan a date got Tuesday.

My arm has stopped hurting and I've been walking a lot and eating good. Life is good.
