The shopping mall next to Luohu train station has hundreds of custom tailors on the 3rd and 4th floors, for both men and women.

I forgot prices, but probably about US$100 for 3-pc wool-blend suits. Cotton shirts are about $20-25. There are thousands of fabric samples from all over the world to choose from. The wool fabrics have trade marks and are supposed to be made in England, but I doubt it. Most likely counterfeits from China.

The good deals are Oriental silk suits for the same prices as wool, which are chic, good-looking and of high values in the West. You can find all kinds of silks from China and Thailand in the fabrics stalls in that building. Who the hell want to wear wools in Texas?

The fit, finish, workmanship and fabrics were all good from that tailor on the 3rd floor. He misunderstood me, even rode the bus one morning and delivered my suits to my hotel at 6AM to make sure I would not miss my flight... A good guy I do lots of business with.

While I was at his tiny shop, a few basket ball players from the LA Laker were ordering and fitting dozens of suits at a time... The suits looked good on them.

I dont know what more you can get out of tailors in Shanghai or HongKong. The Shanghai guy in that shopping mall, who claims to be direct descendant and learned the trade from genuine Shanghai tailors, was very expensive, and his suits did not look all that good... I suspect he's full of bullsh*t!

No I dont insult everyone. There are a few guys in this China thread who are crazy and nasty losers. People would do well avoiding them like rabid dogs.

Fast Eddie is a good man. He went out of his way to meet me and help me in SZ. It was very nice to meet a gentleman like him.

Yet there are dumb, angry losers who called him all kinds of dirty names. Go figure. People can easily see the nasty losers in these forums.

Houjie is a small town right next to Dongguan. So I assume he meant the Dongguan BBS somewhere near the Dongguan bus station.

I had a great time in Houjie, but always with the KTV girls. Could never find the BBS near the bus station. How far is this BBS area from the Dongguan Sheraton?

BTW, try the restaurant on the second floor across the street from the Dongguan Sheraton. It had a Panasonic banner hang on it. This was the KTV girls' favorite restaurant as it's nice and quiet, the large menu has many exotic and delicious dishes... I usually bring the KTV girls along to order from the menu for me...

I remember 4 people ordered 6 dishes with 4 large beer bottles. The bill came to about US$12...hehe. Had a great time in Houjie with some of the most beautiful young girls...

Talk to a Mototaxi guy to take you behind the Houjie Bus station, or actually Across from where all the Bars are, the guy will know where to go. I know Houjie well as I have spent a lot of time mongering for the past 5 years. I love Houjie.
