Most chicas in Micro Centro bars are older hardened pros. There are quite a few chicas from other Central America countries, Paraguay, Honduras etc. Working there. Most are older, below average looking and some can be very rude and nasty.

Be careful. Bars like Hook are very dark and the chicas may be way too old and wrinkled, like 40's or 50's. I would take the chicas to a bright spot to check them out carefully and squeeze them everywhere to make sure of the goods before taking them out.

OTH bars like Envidia in working-class neighborhoods, where the locals hang out, you will find fresh, young pretty Argentinian chicas. Some are so popular they keep going arriba every 5, 10 minutes. Prices was about $40 for half hour plus $5 for the room. If the chica like you, she may stay the whole hour.

Argentinians are very easy going, the opposite of Brazilians. If you hang around the bars between shots, you will make lots of friends as the guys would buy you beers and try to practice English with you.

Along one of the longest and largest avenues where Envidia bar is, I forgot the name, you may find large groups of hundreds of young students hang around outside bars and cafes. They are very mellow and friendly. You can mingle with them and may be picking up young freebies here.

I'm traveling to Rio and BA late in Nov... I've been checking out the ArgentinePrivate spinoff site(I have buddies that are hooking me up for the Rio part of the trip)... any add'l info to provide? My game plan was to stay in MicroCentro and check out some of the boliches close to Hooks. Reccomendations?

I'm actually sweating the BA part of the trip more then Rio... (funny, because I don't speak Portuguese, but pretty decent spanish) the whole thermas things (IMHO) makes the monger experience much simpler... however, it SUCKS that the Brazilian Real has jumped so much against the dollar, so I'm hoping to do most of the action in BA.

If you are new TJ scene. I can share some colorful and varied expereiences.

What's the protocol for taking some pics in HK? One guy said they made him delete the pic of the shampoo/lesbian show. I've seen Mexicans taking pictures with the strippers, giving them small tips.

Of course there are the old guys walking around with old polaroid cameras, so pics must be allowed. I will ask the manager at HK next time to make sure of their policy regarding pics. I've seen him going around taping all the strippers and show it live on the monitor, so it must be OK.

Taking pics with so your own digi cam, I would say it depends on how well known you are in the place. I've seen some people get kicked out of the bar for taking a pic. I take most of the pics myself, other times I will hand over the camera to waiter buddies and they snap em, tip them a buck

I don't know this new manager, I believe used to be manager of Tropical. Who knows how strict he will be with camera policy.
