I have lived here for 14 years, and a lot of time in Cebu.
You do NOT wish to stay in a property that allows you to enter without passing by any guards or through security.
If you can do it so can half the populace. Such a place will be very insecure.
Even haberdashery shops here have armed guards. Bored shitless but they are still provided with employment.
Almost every hotel / pension house / apartment will have security at any public entrance.
You will just have to face the fact that at some stage somebody will see you enter and leave.
Most properties also now have CCTV on each floor that can be checked later if something irregular happens. They all realised they needed it as backup after a popular actress Nida Blanca was found stabbed to death in her car in her condo parking bay and nobody had any record of her entering or leaving.

All,
I'm looking at week in Cebu City / Mactan / Lapu Lapu later this month and would like to know if anybody has stayed in the Lancaster condotel or any similar property? I know it's not in Cebu City but that's ok. I'm looking for something much more discreet than most hotels offer, something with a private entrance. Don't want to see any guards or reception on my way in with the lady friends I will bring home.
Can anybody relay any feedback on such a place? Or a hotel that offers the kind of private entrance I'm looking for?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Is it in all hotels in Cebu no problem to enter with a girl or do some charge extra if she stays overnight?

Seen the Alpa Suites advertising room rates with breakfast f or 2 persons at 2500 pesos a night (massive banner near the Elizabeth hotel) and oppsiate the Elizabeth is the Golden Prince asking 2000 pesos a night. Wifi I think in GP is extra, Alpa npt sure.
Elizabther has 30% promotion until 1o jan (Sinulog prices) so around 3000 pesos net. Wifi is free and is good except a small hiccup and that requires me asking them to reboot etc so the floor has coverage.
Of course for real cheap try Pier Quattro. Around 650 pesos a night a "clean shithole" as described by mayte from the UK who got his via Expedia. It is in a bac part of town (well sort of) , wifi is free and good, and as he pointed out to Putknuf. He room costs as much the charge for wifi in the Marriott. Was an amusing way to look at things.
Diplomat is around 1200-1800 persos per night also as visited it to meet Nail The Wood and Sprtie13 is staying there also

I should have written: US$47 for the Cebu Grand. I had in my mind the Makati Palace, Manila.
