Posts: 6781A budget hotel. Or one for cheap charlies depending who I am referring to LOL
Passed the New Era Pension today, offering PHP 628 a night free wifi etc. Went and had a look as around the corner from where I was staying but not with the intentio of ever staying there. The location is in between SM Mall and Ayala, so taxis are cheap and jeepneys even cheaper (walking is possible as long as it is not too hot and humid and / or pouring with rain)
The rooms are very small and tight, beds OK (least the one sat on was) , wifi was intermittment. Smaller rooms than Tune IMHO.
Looked this up on Trip Advisor and has mixed reviews but for the price am sure no one can really complain. One Aussie seems to have loved it.
Am older and wiser (I think) and this would not be a place I would choose to stay at but some of the budget minded guys might hence I popped in and had a look. Alos the self acclaimed odd cheap charlies may want to stay but one of them had a budget of PHP 500 a night so tis is a tad expensive.

Cebu in the nice weather is glorious as are the Cebuanas, why go to Manila when Cebu is fr better IMHO.
And always nice to have some exercise before a flight as make it better to sleep on the plane. A god ISG mate would do that when he visited me in the UAE and I even drove him the airport while some cutie was making sure he was empty on the back seat LOL Said he slept very well on the plane.

I arrived in Cebu a few hours before the hurricane (Super Typhoon Haiyan or Yolanda). Only God knows why Asiana flew me into Cebu given the weather forecast. I had a lot of problems finding a taxi from the airport to the Marriott, but much less difficulty finding a girl to spend the night with me.
The day of the hurricane was difficult. I had to re fuck the girl from the night before (I actually could not get her a taxi home) , despite the lack of obvious chemistry (although I will admit that she is gorgeous and fucked me bareback as many times as I wanted). And, practically no one was answering their cell phone for the next few days. Despite all of my preparations, I ended up recruiting new girls from DIA on the internet as they were the only ones whom I could contact (in other words, if a girl was logged in, I could invite her to my hotel. The list of girls I had cultivated in the three weeks before my trip to Cebu were mostly girls who did not answer their phones or text messages.)
Despite the difficulties, I met 12 girls for 16 sessions in 3 days. I picked up one girl from Ayala mall Sunday morning and an ISG member introduced me to a great pair of beauties whom I fucked up until the time I left Cebu back to Seoul.
I only wish I could spend more time in Cebu. I cannot begin to imagine what the place is like in good weather. This place is mongerer's heaven right now.

One thing I have started doing is I always provide a complete Tripit print itinerary prior to departing. Very detailed inferring I can be totally tracked. Interestingly the actual hotel is either wrong name, or has the incorrect phone number. As I also use the automated itinerary feature I also go in and manually change the Number of Guests on the hotel details to 1.
Hey, as fro AC, I never put in the itinerary ABC Hotel as my hotel instead choosing family friendly "Holiday Inn." I also never bring back any toiletries or products from ABC just in case a family friend has history with the joint.

By the way, what I am worried about is not rejected by front desk. My wife is suspicios even she will call the hotel to ask whether I am alone or not. Are there anybody had such a kind of BS before?

Posts: 3040Marriott, Radisson Blu, Marco Polo
I am a platinum member the Marriott Rewards Club. I have stayed in many J. W. Marriott and Renaissance properties. I stayed at the Cebu City Marriott a couple of years ago. I did not like it. The hotel is in need of a major renovation. The Lobby is fine / elegant. The hallways and rooms, however, have a musty mildew odor. The furniture and carpet is old and worn. Fortunately I was able to open the window and let fresh air in otherwise I would have been forced to cancel my reservation and switch hotels. The all day/all shade pool was woefully too small for this size hotel and as a result was rendered useless IMHO. My conclusion: Marriott Cebu City is below the Marriott standard. The location next to Ayala mall is outstanding, but I did not come to Cebu City to be close to a mall. It is a plus, but it is not that important to me.
Radisson Blu: I have not stayed here. Location is not great. The neighborhood kind of sucks although it is adjacent to the large new SM mall and it is very close to Arena, Cebu City's first class KTV. It is also relatively new. That is the best thing going for it. I would consider staying here if the price were right. Occasionally internet deals are available at this hotel for around $80/night.
Marco Polo: The location is on the hillside overlooking Cebu City which is kind of out of the way. But I like this hotel and consider it the best of the three properties listed here. It is definitely the nicest and features a great pool and very good restaurants. The rooms are very good too. A taxi is necessary to go anywhere, but this place is like an oasis. The thing to do is invite girls over here, relax all day long by the pool, and go out at night to eat and drink. This is where I will book next time I visit Cebu City unless the Radisson offers up a super deal or the Marriott is renovated.

Hotels are girl friendly (Kwame Case please note also). But read the recent FRs about the Radisson from some members before you decide.

I arrive in Cebu City for a long weekend on Thursday. I have my tickets lined up and enough miles from United to stay at either hotel. It seems that the Radisson has a 5 star rating while the Marriott is only 4 stars. Surprisingly, the Marriott requires more miles per day than the Radission. But, the Marriott is located next to the Ayala Mall, an apparent source of action when one is in need. I guess mongerers fly United!
I have a question for people who know Cebu. Is the distance to Ayala (and other mongerer sites) really important? And, how is the gym at the Rad vs the Marriott. And most importantly, is there any difference between bringing two ladies into the Radisson vs the Marriott (I have a few threesomes pre arranged- we shall see if this actually works out!).
The advice of some senior ISG scholars would be appreciated!
