You can get the taxi to drop you at the ground floor just around the corner in F.Ramos Street instead of taking you up the long curving driveway to the 4th Floor where check-in occurs. Much easier to just grab elevator from the G Floor to check-in.
I used to stay there every month when I visited Cebu for work purposes when it was still called Cebu Midtown, but then service went way downhill and prices increased so my company and I changed to other places (Parklane and Marriott, on special deals).
I am pleased that it seems to have regained a bit of energy back and the prices are now back to reasonable too.
BTW, as is often repeated here, always book a double room so you will not have any issues with the security guard who waits at the elevator near reception. Prices are usually the same

Hi,
Thank all you guys for all the useful information I haven't read anything about Tune hotel but I figured at 17 dollars a night walking distance to Ayala would be worth it. I stayed at diplomat last year when I was there and it was close to mango bars which I liked but I would waste money on taxis to Ayala on of my fav spots. I figure if I don't like tune it can be my short time hotel when I am there.
Has anyone stayed at Tune before?

Posts: 1191From reading the forum there seems to de a few categories of hotels that are favoured by the board members.
Top Tier : Radisson Blu, Marriott, Marco Polo, Waterfront Lahug.
Mid Range : Elizabeth, Quest.
Long Term / Lower : Sogo, Richmond.
Am I being to rash with this selection? Appreciate your thoughts.
Important for me is proximity to shops, close to IT Park, choice of Resto.

I didn't find any pics of the room. So these pics are poolside or in the garden. The staff were pretty good, they allowed me a late check out. The bell man was pretty good about getting a taxi. Oddly the taxi's will drive thru the Gasiano Country mall in order to get to the access road. It's behind the mall and it is too bad there wasn't a way you could get into the mall from the back. I don't think they have in room safes. X

If you need a nice large pool or you have a gal you wish to spend some quality time with, I would certainly recommend the Montebello. I don't remember the prices, but I think you can find that on the web site. There are a few rooms that are a bit run down (the cheapest ones) and then some other that are the same size but have been renovated (the next price up). I did look at a suite, which was expensive, but oh, oh, oh, so nice.
I thought the restaurant was poor value and I don't much like the location.

I am at Summit Circle right now and pretty happy with it. Only complaints: Air con could be stronger and the bathroom is small. Otherwise I am happy with it. Location seems good.

I still say you all should look into this place called the Circle Summit. The room were all remodeled, Good Wifi, good tv channel selection, good bed, pool area is fine. Breakfast I must say was soso.
I paid just over 2K per night. Walk of shame not that bad. They do not call up to your room after your guest leaves, but there is an electronic safe there and bottled water and fridge.

I am considering a change however, probably The Beverly Boutique (also around 1500 per night) this time around or Mango Park, a little more expensive but does have a pool. I know
From previous posts that both hotels are GF, but for this to be the case should I pay the rate for 2 people (I. E. Double occupancy) , or will they not have a problem with me booking for 1person but bringing the occasional 'friend' back on a night?

Website pics of gardens and pool look very attractive. However most of us know that these can give a very distorted impression of reality. I would appreciate feedback, or a detailed report, from anyone who is familiar with this hotel in Banilad.

I don't pay that rate and the web site is erroneous . You could try other discount hotel wenb sites but won't get the rate I get.
You don't say what you prefer to pay so can't really advise but PM please
