There haven't been any visible Chinese sex workers in Yaowarat for several years now. They used to mostly hang out at Broadway Hotel, a doorway right next to the seafood place at the busiest corner in the area. There have also been a few on the top floor in the building with Tesco on Soi Mangkhon (an area with tea houses, massage shops and shops for elderly Chinese), but I haven't been there in years, and it's not easy to pick one if you're not in their target demographic. That's probably gone now as well.

However, Yaowarat area still has a fair number of Thai streetwalkers. They mostly hang out around the traffic circle, Wong Wian 22 (22 July Circle on Google Maps), especially along Mittraphan Road and Maitri Chit Road and the alleys between them. Fewer in numbers than in the past, but a few are there at any time of day, more at night. Going rate is 500, plus / minus 200 depending on the looks and negotiating skills.

Slightly farther afield, check you the New Yotse motel next to Hua Chiew hospital. 600 baht including the room, usually about 20 women waiting for customers. There used to be another similar motel near what Saket, but it closed down.

On the subject of foreign sex workers, I've seen one Indian in her 20s there (an obvious drug addict, didn't take her), and there's also a decent slim Thai-Vietnamese in her 40s, but it's not a given you'll see one of them on any given night.

This is a low-end scene, some women are old and downright scary, but a few look perfectly fine. Service is very basic, don't expect much. To be honest, I occasionally trawl this area more for the curiosity value (about sex workers who are still around) than actually for sex.

Please report back, there's precious little info here on those places.

Street walkers, And you need not be brave, you will not suffer contagion and perish as some wishful members will allege. Do a search in the Bangkok forum, all the info is there. Check out a city map and take a walk you will see them, bargain like I do, 500 be sometimes even includes the room and I have had cheaper. It beats having a chick digging her claws into you and not having any conversational issues. The sex act is all that is applicable. Simple as that really.
