The AIR express bus runs between Frankfurt airport and central Darmstadt.

From central Darmstadt, the local bus line stops close to Sharks (Daimlerweg). It doesn't run very often during weekends, though, and not very late.

I found transportation from Darmstadt to Frankfurt HBf easy enough and reasonably frequent enough, at least during the day time. It is the transportation to the airport which was a bigger problem. I think there was a bus from outside the Darmstadt main train station going upto the airport, on a Sunday morning, if I remember. Around 7:45 AM if I remember correctly. I forgot how frequent it was. Also, it was a Sunday, so it may have higher frequency on weekdays. I don't know if there are buses plying from the airport to the darmstadt train station, although logically there must be.

Trains to and from almost every 10 minutes, no problems at all, run till late 11 ish or midnight. Idea is to take the faster train.

Its not that simple I'm afraid. Trains are more sporadic. You need to consult the RMV timetable.

There is a fast RB train from Darmstadt to Frankfurt at 23:30 and another at 0:30. There are slow S-Bahn trains at 23:35 and at 0:35. Nothing else in between. The fast trains take 20 minutes less to get there (about 18 minutes). You can see its worth getting there in time for the fast train. Avoid IC or ICE trains as these cost extra.

Generally S-Bahn from Darmstadt are every 30 minutes up to 21:35, then hourly. Fast trains RB or VIA type are generally hourly from Darmstadt (2 hourly from Darmstadt Nord). Always check timetable. Saturdays and Sundays and holidays can have exceptions to the rules.

Thanks Syzygies, much appreciated. I think the early train return / expensive taxi puts it out of the equation as I like to stay til at least midnight to 01:00 hrs most of the time.

The last train from Darmstadt is 0:35 am. You can leave club a little after midnight and get taxi to Darmstadt 10 Euros. Otherwise stay in club till closing time.

You can easily take a fast train from Fkfurt HBF for approx 7 euros to Darmstadt HBF, travel time, about 35 minutes. If you take a slow train it takes about 50-55 minutes almost same price or a euro cheaper.

Come out of the darmstadt station and take a cab which drops you right outside the FKK, average cost 8 euros for the taxi and max 10 minutes ride.

If you decide for a taxi ride from Ffurt city center to sharks FKK directly this is about 45-50 minutes ride and should cost you about 55 euros. I've done this on many occasions.

If you have been to palace before and want some change then Sharks is advisable otherwise stick to palace, better girls and better atmosphere.
