Always wanted to stay at the hotel Contel, so convenient, but just couldn't bring myself to. They have some really bad reviews.

I've stayed there 2 times, but I wouldn't stay there again. It was great walking back to the hotel after a night at sharks though! Now I prefer one of the hotels near the station or downtown.

However I wouldn't stay there again so I think that says it all!

There is also the Maritim, located right next to the rail station. They used to have a bus from FRA that I remember costing 8 Euros. It would be a long walk to Sharks, so I would take a taxi or Uber. Interestingly, to get to Sharks from the Maritim by car, you have to drive down the street where the RLD is located.

The Airliner bus returns to the airport many times a day, including early morning and evening. Not sure yet though whether Hotel Contel has reopened.

Book an hotel close to the train station.

Walk to the shark. 30 min walk from the train station.

When you go out of the shark at late night, jump in a cab to go back to your hotel. Damage shark to train station: 11 euros.
