it is under 20 Euros.

I had to take a taxi on a Sunday last December as the R bus is infrequent on Sundays. The taxi cost 10.50 euros.

Between Frankfurt and Darmstadt there is no "Dietzenbach" on the direct route on A5 highway heading south. Speed limit 100 on sections for months due to reconstruction work. A leisurely half-hour of non-stop driving from your life.

Ausfahrt to go to Dietzenbach. I loved when was free speed.

Last time I slept in Darmstadt I stayed at Dormero and it was fine. 10 minute walk to Sharks.

Really bad they put 100 for speed limit on 4 lines between airport and Dietzenbach, when could be for not far from 300 .

From Frankfurt HBF:

1) Fastest is VIA train to Darmstadt Nord station and walk 10 min to sharks.

2) Train or S-bahn to Darmstadt HBF, then jump on 'R'-bus leaving just outside Darmstadt HBF, just cross the road close to the McDonald's.

From airport:

Take the Airliner bus from ground level, if I recall correctly it's bus stop #14. Get off at Darmstadt HBF and change to the 'R'-bus. Price for 'R'-bus is included in the Airliner ticket.

There's train station access at Frankfurt airport. I've taken taxis from Darmstadt station to and from Sharks if you're unsure of walking, it is under 20 Euros

Before you leave the hotel go on your google maps and download the offline map so you do t need to have cell data or wifi.

I normally start at the Intercity hotel next to the main train station. They give you a public transport card for the stay if you ask. The 'are'-bus to sharks leaves right outside the hotel.

The Dormero is good and very close, less than 10 minutes walking, good price for the quality if you take the non-refundable deal. The manager is not the most welcoming man in the world but who cares.

The most efficient way:

From frankfurt airport (terminal 1 AND 2) to darmstadt main station (train station) with the AIRLINER (yellow / black bus, every 30 min) in about 30 min for 10 euro over the highway and then with google maps about another 20-30 min walk. Cheap and fast. That's it!

Really bad they put 100 for speed limit on 4 lines between airport and Dietzenbach, when could be for not far from 300 .
