Do you believe Chinese government blockading Hubei and Wuhan was an over reaction? Do you think most countries restricting travel to and from China was an over reaction? Do you think Italian government should not put 16 M people under quarantine but rather allow free movement all over the country because "covid19 is an overblown hype"? What about other countries? Less than 100 K of 1.1 B people in China, is less than one in 10,000 has this virus -- so if you were the boss of this world, you would allow any person to travel anywhere, all schools, bars, clubs, sports events, everything to function as they used to?

If in the end, you were wrong, and several thousands or even millions die due to a widespread pandemic, what will you say? "Oops?

Discriminating? That's just common sense that if you are more susceptible to get sick you should take more precautions. Everyone else's lives shouldn't have to be disrupted because a extremely small % of the population is affected.

If you bother to read any of the scientific stuff or medical sources they believe the mortality rate of the virus is higher than the flu. Seems like an over reaction like everyone else. This media and everyone seems to be way over reacting to this thing. The flu affects FAR more people than this. It's only affected. 00001% of the entire population. 100 k people out of 7.5 b. Every couple of years there a new scare that we forget about a month or two later. I will probably take advantage of the super cheap flights to visit Sharks in the Spring. Everyone just needs to wash their hands and live their normal's lives. Spreading fear isn't helping.

All the hype and fear does far more damage to global financial markets and businesses than it does health wise. It seems like a political move somehow.

With the flu there is a vaccine which helps a bit at least. W / COVID-19 you're screwing everybody especially the elderly folks or maybe you don't care about that. During all of my visits a good portion of the people there I would consider elderly or you run into elderly folks just living your life and give it to them.
