Invariably I stay at Maritim Hotel adjacent to Darmstadt HBF.

30 minute walk or 10 euros taxi ride from Sharks.

Rooms are good enough and two bars close by in the station area for a few beers later on away from the sex workers.

Expect to pay about 80 euros per night Fri, Sat and Sundays. Weekdays a bit more.
