In recent years I've spent most of my time abroad in Bali and Sihanoukville. The girl I picked was friendly and enthusiastic and, although I took a while to blow, didn't give me a feeling of being rushed. Most of the girls I had in Snooky were pretty good, but attitude and performance in Bali can be hit or miss.

She was pretty insistent on the fee being 500 but, thanks to the advice here, I stuck firmly to 400. I'm only in HCMC for a few days before I head to Vung Tau so I'm not sure if I'll get back there again but it was worth the trip.

I was there last week. Horrible experience. The girl did not know what she was doing. She got tired of sucking and ended with HJ. Really? 400 k down the drain.

I mentioned in my reply that 400 k is the current price. If you had read the forum a little you would have understood that this is the full payment expected from tourists. In other words the highest, all-inclusive price. Locals tend to pay 200 k to the house and give 50-100 k to the girl. When you pay 400 k the mama-san takes her share and gives the girl her cut (you may call this the 'tip' - I would prefer to use the word 'fee'.

In the Western sense of the word, there is no 'tipping' in Vietnam, only overpaying. Bob is quite right about negotiating: it's standard to ask an inflated price to test if you are a sap / weakling / schmuck and then treat you accordingly, chasing more money and reducing quality of service.

I suggest next time you try another shop on the street (400 k inclusive).

If you don't negotiate in Vietnam as a foreigner you are screwed.

The normal rate isn't 400/500. That s stupid foreigner price.

Other members including myself pay less. Half of what you paid is still possible and even though it s still more than locals pay.

For 400/500 you can get laid in HCM you don't pay that for a BJ.
