I met several guys like this. They are not stupid but lonely. They do not want to accept the reality- the lack of romantic relationship in their homeland is because of themselves, rather than outer environment. They are in a fantasy that they will become attractive to women if they change the place or culture, ie. going to poorer country. Some Latin women manipulate this fantasy and take advantage of it.

I used to believe these type of stories were made up as no one could be so stupid. Then I started meeting guys who do stuff like this here in Medellin. I was surprised to see they were nice, decent looking & intelligent. Must be some kind of mental or mother issue.

Now 5 years later. $35K gone. Can't seem to bring closure to my mind. Still have emphatuation with the girl. Now the girl wants me to start a relationship with her cousin who is moderately attractive, and interested in me, but I have only thought of her as family / friend.

Marry a prepago and she can work in the US or Western Europe and your household will have to good incomes. Until she has learned the lingo in your country and got some sort of education.

She can be prepago 1-2 days a week and be your beloved wife for the other five.

When she has got her permanent visa, for example after 2 years, you have'nt spent a single dime on her. Many are swethearts for 2 years and then file for divorce when they know they have permanent visa.

If you need professional help to get married that should be a red flag for you that maybe it's not in your best interest to do so. Maybe climb way down the ladder if you want it so desperately.
