I slept in the Bahn hotel last time and it was 5 minutes away from the station and around 30 euros per night.

Free travel on train sbahn and regional express, also bus and tram anywhere in the region. You can save a fortune and travel to all clubs in the nrw area. There used to be a post on here with all hotels that give free travel cards while you stay at your hotel.
I used to like staying in Dusseldorf and treking for more than an hour each way using the free hotel card to the good clubs of Bochum or Dortmund etc. Problem is hotels that provide that service are at least 60 euro per night these days, plus I cant be arsed with long daily travel times on a trip anymore, so nowdays I prefer to stay in Airbnb in the area where the clubs are I want to visit, often only paying around 20 per night and short travel times to the clubs.

BB69. Good ideas. For Frankfurt area rmv. De is useful.

If you're around Dusseldorf, you can use vrr. De or the vrr smartphone app. Around Koln it's vrs. De or the vrs app. Everywhere you can use DB navigator (the official DB app). Google maps works fine too. All these apps don't use too much data.

This useful thread seems to have been forgotten and overlooked with the result there are questions in club threads asking how to get to a club.

The answer in all cases is simple.

    1. Do an Internet search (sorry, but members sometimes don't seem to think of this possibility).

    2. Use www.bahn.de.Go to menu if you want English and choose "sprachauswahl"

3 Use this thread for detailed issues (for example, the break in hour ney issue at Frankfurt Hbf discussed earlier).

    Summer NRW Trip

Boys love trains, and for many of us, myself included, the appeal never goes away. One of the joys of mongering tours in Germany is the chance to ride the rails (plus some buses) to the clubs. I made a 5-day trip back in July this year, based at hotels near the Hauptbahnhof in Dusseldorf (First at the Hotel Madison Novum, then CVJM Düsseldorf Hotel & Tagung). Between the strategic location near the train station and the NRW travelcard I got as part of the deal at the CVJM hotel, it could not have been easier to get from club to club by public transportation.

    My itinerary was:

    Day 1 Evening: Acapulco (Velbert)

    Day 2: Dolce Vita (Dusseldorf)

Day 3: Saskia-Farrell gangbang party (Kaarst) ; Living Room (Kaarst)

Day 4: Arabella (Bochum) ; Magnum (Erkrath)

Day 5: Freude 39 (Bochum) ; Magnum (Erkrath)

See the reports in the various threads (and the Saskia-Farrell party in Gangbang clubs).

I've made my first club tour two weeks ago, using public transportation.

From Dusseldorf Hbf, the Blue Note is very easy to reach, the Magnum is easy to reach, and the Acapulco is. Reachable.

Only problem for the Acapulco, there are only one or two buses per hour, depending wich line you take. I strongly advise to print many trip plans from the VRR (or VRS) website.

It really depends, what kind of ticket you are taking. Do you have to change trains at HBF? Most tickets have a period of validity.

Even local inner city Bus tickets usually have a 2 hour validity, larger distance have a longer one. These tickets usually don't have a route printed onto them but rather are valid in certain zones. This is why they have a limit to validity, also a limit to not changing directions.

If it is a train ticket, with a determined route, a ticket which has start end end point written onto it, I suspect validity is much longer, a day or so. What distance are you riding (km, hours) and what is the price?

You ought to ask when you buy to be sure. Or read all the small print. If various conductors saw it and never complained, then it probably is ok.
