Did I say everyone in the Philippines is out to scam me? I've stated many times that a majority of people are good. Nevertheless, there's nothing wrong with sharing strategies to avoid the few bad apples.

Saying that the culture has a lax work ethic, which has been one of my claims all along, does not mean I believe the culture is generally criminally-minded.

It's pretty obvious why the Philippine government does irrational things. It's not because they're incompetent (well, maybe) , but because they get to score points with voters.

90% of Filipinos aren't sophisticated enough to vote. So politicians pander to their basest emotions, like banning an American comedian for insulting Filipino pride. This is one of many reasons why the Philippines isn't ready for liberal democracy.

One thing I've learned after four trips to the Philippines is, never take the place seriously. This is adult Disneyland. You come, you pillage and you leave with good memories. No disrespect to expats, but the thought of me spending more than two weeks in the Philippines is unfathomable. I truly feel sorry for Filipinos who must live their entires lives in a shit-filled, hopeless, corrupt country.

Aside from the sex and girls, one benefit of traveling there is that it makes me grateful for what I have in America, to be with friends, family and coworkers who aren't trying mooch off me or feign kindness for ulterior motive. It makes me appreciate technology and civilization. It even makes me appreciate my dead-end job. The women in my life in America may not be as pretty or fawn all over me, but I know if they like me, it's likely genuine and I can have a real emotional and intellectual connection with her. It's not just her tits and vagina.

Let's be honest here. Many guys go to the Philippines for love and sex because they have problems at home. Perhaps they lack social skills, they're workaholics, don't have a life, have no real friends, estranged from family, etc. They look to the Philippines as a substitute for their drab reality.

The truth is, no matter how bad your life is at home, it will likely be worse in the Philippines. The country is crap. India may be poorer (at least for now) , but I don't sense Indians being shady, corrupt, conniving, lazy or moochers. So enjoy the Philippines while you're there but don't go there to run away from your problems. Confront your problems instead.

That last post sums up the guy "they're workaholics, don't have a life, have no real friends, estranged from family" he comes here and says that the profile of some one who visits here. He knows that person well as it is him. Thing is I never met a guy like that here, as I never met him here.

If you had any sense of shame, you'd quietly withdraw from this discussion hoping nobody remembers you made such a bonehead and false statement about the law in which you are wholefully unqualified to make.
