Answer: Have rarely experienced a washing machine in a studio unit, anywhere in phils (twice, once Malate and once Makati, both on the balcony).

Westie, I jumped on AirBnB to answer my own question and several condos in Trillium specifically, and the Ayala area generally, now do have washers and some dryers as well. Even down to the $30 per night places.

I guess they are now becoming more of a standard inclusion unlike not so long ago. Look for photos of washer / dryers or desrcriptions of 'in the appartment' not just 'in the building, free or for a fee'.

I'm the opposite: by the time I walk / taxi to the laundromat I'm so drenched that its time for another load. LOL.

I also pack very lightly so a 4 or 5 kg minimum can be literally all my clothes. And I prefer to walk rather than drive most places. Hence my comment about 2 or 3 sets of clothes per day.

Regardless of cost (I'm sure I don't save any money) I just find it easier to throw a load in to wash while I'm doing other things rather than trapsing around town.

Who would have thought that a post about doing the washing would have been so popular. 😀.

Yes so expensive it kills the budget of some people LOL (and why bother when so cheap, save energy for better things?

Never had a bad experience of using laundries and some don't have a minimum amount / charge. Maybe I am lucky as I use the same one a lot and as they know me I get the service. Also took one pair jeans in and they washed and pressed in the same day (and repaired a minor issue) same day. Never asked them to repair the hole in the jeans but they did.

I have seen a few on Airbnb, I will look for them if possible.

Some washers do not spin, clothes come out dripping wet and take long time to dry.

Some will spin only, not bad light stuff is almost wearable, drying time can be a couple hours in the sun for jeans.

Some have air dry, basically a slow spin with air blown through the drum, they will dry but expect about 4 hours to finish.

Only one Airbnb with full dryer, wash to dry in about 90 minutes.

The condo has High Speed Internet, the ethernet connection is really fast the owner told me that I can watch Netflix without a problem.

Great internet connection is a must for me since I will be working on my laptop alot. I do have 2 pocket wifi, the tattoo is an old one I think only 3 G, but the last one I bought this year is a LTE Globe Mobile WiFi with speeds of up to 42 Mbps.

Like WestCoast1 mention, I find the internet connection of the condos I stay in Philippines faster than my pocket Wifi.

I do agree with Goferring that a condo with laundries / washers is a must during summer.

That's why I love this condo, it has great Internet connection, Dryer / Washer, nice kitchen with microwave, pool / gym, hot water, big TV with cable channels, Queen bed, Electricity / water included, it has everything I'm looking for, and it only cost me 900 php per night for 1 month rent. Very cheap if you consider that I will stay during Sinulog month when condos are very expensive.
