For the record, yes I am a long-term resident in the Philippines. I lived in Cebu City for 4 years from July 2019 up till October this year, when I moved out. I now live in Quezon City in Metro Manila and plan to stay in QC for at least 12 months.

It does take time to build up contacts and 1 week or 2 week short-term tourists will find it difficult though it is possible to set up meets for when you arrive via the online dating websites, though you need to plan and set this up before you arrive.

I think that the girls in the bars and the streetwalkers in Cebu City are on the rough side though we all have different tastes in women and others might find them worth pursuing!

While Cebu does have a settling in period, any city has the whole time vs money option not just Cebu.

The online dating scene is ridiculously good here. It's almost too easy to pick up girls here. I've had greatest success with pinalove, some with datesinasia and locando and low success with tagged. I haven't used tinder too much. I got a few matches, but nothing I have followed up.

To be honest pinalove is the app I liked the most and has spent most time on. It's almost too easy to pull girls here. I'm having scheduling issues because there are so many.

I stayed at Parklane. Nice rooms, great location. And security was awesome helping me with a troublesome LB who got past my screening and was refusing to leave. Only thing is breakfast sucked but you can always eat out.
