I was told that on Juana Osmena st girls stand outside this hotel (I forgot the name) after 8/9pm. I went there too early one day and had no luck but just thought I would mention it.

I live just off Juana Osmena. I'm surprised you didn't find anything there, unless you were very early. There are usually several at various places on the street pretty much any time after dark.

When I am walking home from Fuente, I am often approached in the 7-11 parking lot or just north of it. There might also sometimes be a girl or two across the street outside the National Bookstore. Further north, outside the beauty salon (closed at that time) just north of Baseline, there will usually be one or two, and I have often seen as many as six-seven. At the intersection of Mango and Maria Cristina, there will often be one or two on one of the corners. Further north (toward Escario) there will occasionally be one, but I would recommend the Mango end of the street for the best hunting.

I'm not sure how late the action goes, because I'm not a late-night person, but one night recently I had to go to the airport at 1am to meet friends coming in on a delayed flight and I walked to the Maria Cristina corner to get a taxi. There was one girl working that corner. Can't say about the rest of the street.

As is usual with street action, the numbers and quality can vary greatly, but some are nice-looking. I have never partaken of the offers here, but I have asked prices a few times. They usually ask 800 or 1000, but any show of reluctance brings the price down quickly. Five hundred is the lowest I've heard offered.

IMO the guy was rightly flamed. He was sourcing tripadvisor and asking a billion and one touristy questions. None consisted of GF hotels or available semi pro action. Basically the standard questions on the forum. The guy sounded like he was possibly writing a tourist book and wanted to mine info from members here. Some of the older ISG guys take offence if they feel a guy is not on the same page as other members.

Telling him to get lost was justified but that's just my 2 centavos.

Honestly I was tired of providing links to members with under 25 posts. Sometimes providing instant and on-demand info results in newbies who don't take the time to RTFF. They often come back awhile later to scream bad info was provided.

GoPinay, if you did all right in Manila and AC, why did you risk going to Cebu? Go back to AC. As one of the "old guys" you mention, I would ask: If you are young and fairly good looking, what are you doing on ISG in the first place?

I am in Cebu because I actually want to see the Philippines and not just Manila and AC. I will go island hopping in a few days and then back to Manila in a month or so. Therefore Cebu with its "big" airport was the obvious choice to get to the Visayas quickly.

I am not exclusively looking for P4P, but I just like to have some fun from time to time and I really don't mind support the girls or whatever you want to call it. On DIA, FilipinoCupid etc. I generally only approach girls who post certain more revealing pictures or have set up their profile in a way that makes you think that they make money on the side. I don't think it is fair to play with girls who are actually looking for a relationship or even marriage since that is certainly not what I have in mind.

And although I have read a lot of the threads here from A to Z and made a shortlist of all the places to check out. The situation on the ground seems to be somewhat different from the posts in the forum.

I can't speak to the questions about the conditions on the ground in Cebu. I'm not arriving until next week. But for the online dating, you're right, it is slow. Usually you do that a couple of weeks in advance to line up prospects. I've used DIA, Cherry Blossoms, and Filipino Cupid. When I was visiting regularly I'd rotate between them. DIA has better quality girls, I think, but they are more focused on relationships and marriage.

The way you phrase it sounds like you are really looking for P4P on the dating sites. Many of the women would be eager to meet a young foreign guy without needing to lure them with money.

I have used the dating sites occasionally while in country if there is a break in the texts. Setting up a new profile can get a lot messages, but it can take a day or two to get reviewed and approved. The key to a fast response is to be clear in your ad that you are in Cebu right now. Some observations from the last couple of days:

- The bars along Mango Avenue as well as Mavericks on Osmena Circle and Lone Star behind Mango Avenue are very quiet with usually only 1-2 girls dancing, girls look bored and a lot of them aren't attractive at all. They are also very scared about undercover guys and raids so you can only barfine if the girl tells the manager that she already knows you.

I am just 28, kind of good looking, fit and I dress well. So either I am doing something completely wrong here in Cebu (had no problems at all in places like Manila and, of course, Angeles) or the girls here a focused on old guys?

Maybe you have an answer for that or these questions:

- Which bar on Mango Avenue is the top location at the moment? I know this isn't Angeles but there has to be at least one place that is not almost dead, right?

- Any recommendations for online dating with girls in the city? Alternatives to DIA?

- Are there specific places in Ayala Center and other malls to look for working girls? I have heard of Bo's cafe so far, but Ayala is a huge place.
