3 summer visits must have been doing something right. Every place has it's time. I think the UK back then was a vibrant place for the music scene there was a lot of creativity carrying on from the 60's.

This was the time of Maggie Thatcher and the making of an uneven society with 3 million unemployed, the Brixton and Toxteth riots, miners strike and the cold war. That's how I remember it, and school! Good times.
