I can't see how this can be based on a scientific study. I have heard it as reason for children not to do weight training. I don't think it has any science behind it. Weight training isn't exactly hard physical labor. There are also child labor laws so you wouldn't be able to observe the effects.

Bingo. Because it's not backed up by what we know about physiology. So long as adequate nutrition and rest is provided to meet demand and traumatic injury does not occur, that claim had no basis, just an urban legend perpetuated in the 90's. Stressors such as proper weightlifting or any high intensity exercise, even in adolescence, promotes human growth hormone release, the major player in bone length promotion during adolescence (most certainly not testosterone).

I've been told that it has something to do with the "growth plates" in the knee and hip joints. Hence the need for teenage boys to "lay up" on the stacks when it comes to deadlifts and squats. Or so I've heard.

Don't listen to the bad science below. Testosterone doesn't make women taller. It's not Testosterone that increase height, it's growth hormone. Any correlation with testosterone is because growth hormone (hGh) stimulates testosterone release in parallel to hGH's own effects.

This is only loosely related to the posts. Have you even had your testosterone levels checked? There is talk about them falling and the level considered normal being reduced. Hard to change ones genes. But the longing for the beta women (the taller ones above average) among the beta males are most likely related to the tall ones being the leftovers. And also due to the fact that the taller women had to join in during the handling of the alpha during fighting. So the taller more masculine women are fighters and thus partly more male in nature with more testosterone.

The recent rise in the LGBTQ movement most likely comes from the furthering of the beta democracy running the world. Then again, humans are more warring than the bonobos. At least until recent civilization occurred. And thus almost all women long for the alpha and not the beta male. And they have kinks and get horny from some form of alpha strength display during playtime. The females who resisted this, got killed. So through Darwinism, the gene that makes women love the alpha's survived to a great extent among humans, more so than the ones preferring beta's, the less attractive taller, more difficult to control females. I can't recall the ratio exactly, but it is between 60% and 90% who has that subordinate kink gene among human females, and thus are genetically predisposed to prefer the alpha male.
