Every morning when an exchange opens, there is an auction to set the opening price; it is NOT the price of the previous day at closing. So closing them would change essentially nothing. When they re-open, there would be a realistic opening price, probably the same on that day as if they had stayed open. Yes, they might have dropped in the meantime, but will have recovered.

Prices are falling because people want to sell. If you close the markets, you are robbing them of their ability to sell.

Anyone who invests in the stock market and thinks that he has some sort of guarantee that the price will always rise is stupid. The worst are those lean-government types who want essentially no regulation until they themselves have problems, then they want the government to regulate the markets or even financially help those who lost money. Get a life.

The one relatively sure thing one can say about the stock market is that stocks, on average, go up in the long term. The wise thing to do now would be to buy as much as you can now that prices are down.
I doubt very much I know anything about stock markets because I lost more than a million dollars in the last month in my personal portfolio. While I appreciate the free lecture you gave on stock markets, I am curious about why you gave it because I mentioned shutting down the Chinese wet markets. I am quite confident global stock markets will remain open as you said.

Especially when you see that most of the mongers around Dusseldorf FKK's are immigrants and travellers like me. And many WG's there offer uncovered BJ's and kissing. I got a wettest BJ last Sunday at Acapulco, which I love getting but now regretting.

I called couple of FKK's today and they are still operational.

I don't know what you guys think. I would love hear your opinions. But I'll stay off WG'S for some weeks, in FKK's and otherwise.

    Happy (and safe) mongering!
I'm easing off for a bit. Going to get this thing at some point anyway but advice is to delay. Unlike my bedroom performance.

In Budapest at the mo and will abstain for the foreseeable and wait this out. Hopefully a rush to the gates once the all clear is given. Happy tugging in the meantime all.

He was referring to the shut down of wet markets, not financial markets.

    Humor!

I've been reading posts about the effects of the spread of the coronavirus all around the mongering world. And I see mongers starting to argue, fuss, and fight in many of these threads. How about we all take a step back, take a deep breath for a few seconds, and try to keep our heads on straight and level? Let's calm down and let cooler heads prevail my fellow mongers.

Informative video, looks legit. I tried to post it earlier, but for some unknown reason, the admin didn't allow it. Anyway, thanks for informing others. BTW, is this information correct: From April 12,2009 to April 10,2010, CDC estimated there were 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1 N1) pdm09 virus.

I would say commuting trains are most dangerous, much more people in small enclosed place than almost any other places, but some nations began doing the remote work.

Because of this pandemic and the recent travel ban, many airlines allow the passengers to change their flights without paying any fee. You can change the flight as late as up to 2 hours before your original flight departure. You should have called Expedia to do that since you didn't book directly through the airline. Ok, even if you have to pay an administrative fee and the fare difference, it's still better than losing 800.

Regarding to losing 10 nights of hotel stay, you couldn't at least get a refund for 9 days? Seriously! For most hotel reservation, you will definitely lose your first day if you don't show up. You should still get the refund for the remaining days. No? I bet you probably prepaid your hotel in advance. Right? I would never prepaid hotel when I go on a mongering trip.
I tried rebooking but nothing worked. 2. 5 hours waiting time on the phone with expedia customer service. After a few seconds the woman put me on hold again and told me she will talk to her supervisor. A minute later she told me with Lufthansa I have no options, they refuse to rebook because the flight to FRA was not cancelled and left on schedule. They gave me a number to call Lufthansa. I did. Another 3 hours on hold. Within 30 seconds they sent me back to expedia and blamed expedia for giving false info. Also suggested I email Lufthansa customer relations to ask for a voucher. Classic BS.

Yes I booked hotel (actually an apartment) and the host offered 100% cancellation refund as long as it was 14 days before check in. That seemed quite reasonable back in Dec 2019. But I waited too long and didn't cancel hoping to go but you know what happened. Yes I make myself look like a fool but hope others can learn from it and know what to expect and avoid.

Fully agree, it is so far better to be free, to stay longer in one place or another, so many hotel options available specially with a car, the FKK scene will need months to recover if any.

    Internet bandwidth going down

Seemingly. Since so many mongers are now watching internet porn, the bandwidth today is shitty as hell. Could you please give me a break here? (just kidding).

Have a booked flight on United Airlines between March 3rd and March 31st, and you can make changes over the next 12 months for whatever reason with no extra fees or charges. Other airlines are putting forth their own rule changes to help travelers get through this crisis, and to try to protect their own bottom lines.

Ticket 800 USD booked via Expedia total loss. 10 nights hotel stay 650 USD total loss. Was able to cancel the car rental. I feel much worse about the ruined vacation rather than the money. A couple of my favorites ex LR and ex Samya are now both at Finca! Could have been a great trip but all ruined. Just sad.
