If cost is a concern, wait it out, stay in Japan until after the Olympics. Number of Flights will increase once EU finalize the travel requirements. After that, flight prices will decline. That's plenty of time for Europe to work out the kinks in travel restriction. Just keep in mind that in August, which is a heavy holiday month for Europeans, prices are inflated just like any other year.

I often play around with expedia to just to see the site, to have data in my head for the price range I should pay for to go. The cheapest I saw for Tokyo Frankfurt was 750 USD via one stop through middle east, it was qatar. Other usual cheap fare is like around 850. Usually I pay about 1100 usd for 5 night hotel stay and plane fare when I fly economy which I often do. Used to fly business at the beginning of my FKK trip, but once I develop FKK veteran syndrome of calculating everything in life based on what I could have got in FKK for such and such price, I began flying economy most of time to goto FKK LOL! So I am on the pane like oh I got so many blowjobs right now, Oh another hour pass another blow job etc LOL!

I saw good deal now via qatar to frankfurt, not to Zurich, somehow to Berlin and to Zurich is more expensive by quite far comparison to going to frankfurt, I think frankfurt is big hub airport, so its cheaper! Before Berlin was cheap to back in early 2010, same price as frankfurt, but at one point, Berlin became same price to go as zurich! Got poppular I guess by normal tourist!

Another trick is to clear all cookies, history, etc. And NEVER EVER visit a travel website not in Private Mode. I found Brave to be the best browser to use, it's chrome based but way better. Make sure to open in Private Viewing eveyr time and DO NOT sign into Kayak until you think you've found the dates you want to travel. I believe Kayak gives better deals if you are signed in, but if signed in they may be tracking your searches. Kayak has a feature to track deals, they also give you recommendations to buy or to wait based on history.

If you use Kayak, they have a +/- 3 or 1 day, or day before, day after feature. This feature enables you to see a variety of days. One thing I noticed in Kayak, is they usually give you the best deals for the exact dates you selected. So if you did +/- 3 days to depart June 4th and return June 18th, the best deals are usually those, but it depends if they have routine flights, etc. Lots and lots of variables. So if you see something close in the table on June 3rd, update your search to June 3rd to June 18th, the price may go down.

I got to know about Kayak and try playing around with it, thanks and compared to expedia for price. Man, I think each country do differ, but kayak price offer to German cities costed almost double comparison to expedia!

It is not looking good for expedia now for their price offer beside middle east route, I found few flight via Dubai or Qatar and hotel for 5 nights at 3 to 4 star hotel for about 1000 usd all together if flying economy, but that via middle east airports, through other route or direct it is like plus about 1000 usd on top of that 1000 usd! Crazy! But Dubai and Qatar route seems cheap comparison to pre corona, but others are nightmare prices now!
