Posts: 7963. 4 is the quotient of registered infected vs actually died. It is a highly biased number. We should realize that most people that are infected likely never registered, since most have only light symptoms. Reason I, why this number would be massively lower.
Also 80 plus people present the majority who die. So again the quotient for. Say 60 or less. Drops below 2 percent.
Further of the 60 and younger people who die, most have COPD, asthma, diabetes --so if you don't have any of the preconditions, the actual death rate could be as low as 0. 1% or so.
All just guesses -- but just saying the 3. 4 is a very high overgeneralization.
So it is not that bad. But it is still very bad: Indeed it has the making of becoming one of largest global catastrophes this planet has witnessed since WWII. It is a very major serious event. Interesting to see how this is all down-played in the media.
We are not yet in the 2004 tsunami range - "just 3000" folks dead so far. But when will it stop. ?

Posts: 796Yes, I read about it too. But I doubt one should take this preventively. I guess once you show symptoms and being tested it is not too late?

Apparently chloroquine might be the cure.
Healthy people and children shouldn't worry too much.

Quarantine may not be the answer for much longer as incidents are popping up across Europe. It was known that it could only be a short term solution that gave the experts time to analyse the virus and time is running out. I don't know how much longer that this can be effective.
And apologies to Gino as I did not know how very deadly this disease is compared to the flu, I kept on saying that 650,000 people die from the flu each year but did not know that that 650,000 is about 10 - 20 people deaths out of 100,000 infections - 0.1% - 0.2% but the known percentage of coronavirus deaths is at 3. 4%. So if the same number of people who get infected by the flu could get infected by covid19 then the death rate would be massive.

Not sure if banning Italians would actually work at this point. I do hope to be wrong, but this virus could already have crossed the Alps.

Likely massive coronavirus. Spreading in Heinsberg / near GT / Bruggen.
Update: this Heinsberg Corona-case guy was apparently a mass-spreader- and now there are 5 corona-cases just in NRW. According to a recent FAZ article. Heinsberg is just 10 km from Bruggen.
This is quickly getting into italian proportions: https://www.faz.net/aktuell/gesellsc...-16652280.html.

Posts: 796100% this is affecting business. NRW in Germany has its first coronavirus case in Heinsberg. The male, 47 y old, is in deep shit. A country-wide scare is immanent.
Now -- there are 3 logics to work on:
A) get an infection quickly. As long as still some good beds in the ICUs (intensive care units) are available. Then visit FKK massively now. Grin. Take your odds.. and hopefully you are "immunizised" - and ok to go more to FKK..
B) or wait a bit. Until treatment folks have more experience. You can still visit FKK - -good luck with that gamble.
C) or hide. Maybe until may and hope this will behave like the flue which is typically gone by May.

"I'm About to End This Man's Whole Career" This was me basically going to do to FKK.
Just here to vent, today I should have been to FKK world and tomorrow FKK Oase, but not really.
One week back I bought my airplane ticket, rented a car, reserved 2 hotels, as I was going to come to Frankfurt for 2 days. The week went painfully slow, as I was counting the hours when to reach Frankfurt. The damage for all the mentioned tickets was around 800 Euros.
On Wednesday (1 day before my travel plan), I was grinding at work, I had a 16 hour shift, 1 hour before ending my shitty shift, I faced a suspected "Corona" case. Had to take nasal / throat swabs from the suspected case, under precautionary measures (gown, gloves, N95,eye protection, hair cover, and shoe covers).
Took the samples. Ended my shift, then went home. Since then I had 12 hours left prior to my flight to FKK land. Started to stress about traveling or not. As the case was a mere "suspected" only. Kept checking the labs sample for a result, but still pending, until 5 hours before my flight, it turns out the suspected case, is +ve for Corona.
Contacted the authorities "preventive medicine" team, they stated legally speaking, since I took the samples under guidelines precautions, I can travel with no issues.
Kept stressing more, and I was torn over, as I really wanted my FKK fix, had a very rough 2 months of work and I needed the de-stress ASAP, plus I payed 800 Euro worth of tickets which is going into the drain.
Reached the airport 2 hours before my travel. Should I travel or not, listing the pros and cons, fighting my urge not to travel. Ultimately I noped out and stayed home.
Ethically and legally it was fine for me to travel. But the OCD in me kept focusing on the very low risk I might be infected and literally infect an FKK club, with people all over the world, in a closed environment full of close contact (#DFK). Theoretically speaking I could have been the Typhoid Mary of Corona. I honor and appreciate FKK clubs to the point that I choose to sacrifice this trip.
Hopefully end of March will journey to FKK land.

I can't remember my old log in, so just re registered. When I first registered I received a lot of very useful advice and information from members on this forum. I remember PL being very helpful. So I would like to give back to help new and old members who don't drive in Germany. I don't take my phone into clubs anymore (or its on airplane mode), no way would I be turning on location services to help me navigate my way around.
From Dusseldorf airport walk straight out of the arrival gate and straight in front of you is the entrance to skytrain. Go up 2 floors and get on the train (every 5 minutes) you can't get on the wrong train as you are at the last and first stop. Get off at train station and there are trains every 10 minutes to Dusseldorf city centre, takes only 10 minutes. Just a few euros.
Oceans. They will pick you up from the city or from the airport. Maritime Hotel. You will then not have to pay the taxi charge. It is then 40-45 euro back to centre or 28 euro back to the airport. When they first opened I got picked up in the city centre and only paid 30 euro entry inc food and beer till 7 pm, not available anymore. I don't visit this club anymore for many reasons stated on this forum.
DV. You can easily walk from the train station its about 10 minute walk, all straight easy to find. Taxi from the center around 35 euro. Also don't attend anymore.
LR. Easy. Take train from Dusseldorf hbf and go to Nuess takes around 15 minutes. Then every 20 minutes there is a Kaarst see train, only one stop and you get off 3 minutes. Total 7 euro. Cross over the train line and walk around 150 m, turn right walk to end of the street and you can see living room. Good club.
Nuess is a very important hbf station from here, 15 minutes Mun Gladbach, 30 minutes Cologne, can get a direct airport train.
Golden time, worth a trip but a hastle. 100 euro from airport. Hotels cheap in the area but still cost 15 euro there and back to Golden time. I go train Mun Glad then 55 euro to Golden time. If you stay 2 days its worth it I think.
Acappulco Gold. Easy. 22 euro from airport but many drivers have no idea what you are asking. They try to take you to Velbert. You must have the address with you. After around 40 euro back to city centre.
Magnum. They will pick you up but don't bother nothing to see here.
Accapulco Velbert. Difficult. Train to Velbert but there is more than one station make sure you know which one to get off at. I think its the third (last station) but you must pre book a taxi before you set off. I waited around 45 minutes for the taxi to arrive (even though booked), as there is very limited choice in the area. 25 euro to the club. Then getting back around 10 pm or later no option except 80 euro taxi.
Mondial. Easy from Cologne centre taxi 23 euro. On way back most of the time one of the managers takes me to my hotel always 20 euro. Some of the stories they tell can't be repeated on here, ha.
Samya. Very similar about 24 euro, same on way back no lift from here.
Bernds. Needs some planning. Train easy to Henneff, then you come out of the station and there are 3 taxi ranks each 200 m apart and you have no idea where to wait. Of course I picked the wrong one. Ran over to a taxi which someone was getting in and asked for a booking, couldn't speak English. When next taxi came, no idea about Bernds. I had to call club and she explained. 25 euro each way. This was before I realized don't take phone.
Forgotten what the club is called. The one with the pool. This club is out of the way and there is no easy way to get there. It was a beautiful day so I changed my plans to go there. Taxi on the meter would be min 110 euro each way. I got there for 80 euro, some taxi drivers will some won't. It take 40 minutes. Had a very good today there, ended up doing free shots with the lady manager. Good fun, She got me a taxi back that the club uses 50 euro. There is an option to stay local.
Probably missed one but can't think ATM.
Enjoy.
