There is a section of a highway south of Frankfurt heading north where it says something like "Autobahn speed testing track ahead". I suppose people like you, or people like me with a car not reaching 300 km / h needs to take that as an advice to just stay in right lane, and not try and passes. Or some Porche will rear end you. LOL! I can't remember exactly where it was, since I only remember seeing it once. But I think its somewhere around Heidelberg on number 5, 6 or 67.

There are countless things that are legal but not smart. For example, it is totally legal for somebody to run head first into a wall. Is it smart though?

If you look for adrenaline rush from driving I recommend closed racing circuits. Whoever is driving there at least accepts the risk of others driving too fast on the same road. On top of that you get the benefit to have an objective measure how good of a driver you really are.

Too many people overestimate their driving skills. I remember reading an article how 88% of people consider themselves better than average drivers. Simple mathematics would suggest otherwise.
