What can I say-I calls 'them like I sees 'them. I am the first to admit that it could have been an "off" night (though somehow I doubt it) , and all these views are ultimately taste things. I had been fantasizing about Insomnia for many years now. Something really cool about the place. I think the last report we had on this forum was from Creature2 a couple of years ago, and he gave the place a solid recommendation as I recall.
It's in a great location too, right next to Alt Templehof U-Bahn station. The following is important; Insomnia has two different dress code policies. On Thursday, Sunday and other selected nights early in the week, they have parties with hired in women plus some swinger couples to serve single men. On these days you are only required to wear black underwear in the club, or you can go nude if you wish. It doesn't have to be strictly black, but at least dark, so long as its not a white Y fronts with a yellow [CodeWord140] stain on the front you are probably ok. You can also wear a dark t-shirt, plus flip flops or crocs. On these nights they not very selective about who they let in.

On a Friday and Saturday Nights, they also admit single men but the dress code on these nights is very hardcore swinger, and you need to wear extrovert swinger gear on those nights, or so I was told anyway when I enquired. Also on these nights there is no guarantee they will let you in, as they only let in a select number of single guys to keep the numbers balanced. There are no hired in women on these nights either I was told, so no guarantee of getting laid either.
When you arrive at the club and ring the buzzer, you are admitted into a long hall where the cash desk and some changing cubicles are. There are no proper changing rooms or lockers, and you just change in this area, before handing your clothes and valuables to the person at the cash desk who stores them in a cloak room behind the cash desk. I brought a small backpack, and put all my valuables plus clothes into that. I was a bit concerned about this loose system but with typical German honesty of course there were no problems and no one stole my new Samsung Galaxy S3 or my money. So if you plan to visit I recommend bring a small backpack with you or leave your shit back in the hotel.

You then go upstairs to the club and enter the main room, which in an impressive sized room with a high ceiling. Here is the dance floor and bar, along 3 huge "fucking" beds covered in red leather. One of these huge beds is placed in the center of the dance floor. There is the long bar with seating for about 12 – 15 people. There are some smaller Fuck rooms out the back, along with a huge loft upstairs where they are more big sex beds, and an area where the buffet is served.
