Yes. Booked 2 rooms but when there, the receptionist said "fully booked / sold out". Apparently, they increased the price and others willing to pay higher.

Anyway, beers there and now pretty expensive! Had gone to this new club, Yes. Nice show and great selection BUT damn. Price of a bucket of beer (5bottles) cost 1400Baths! How much can 2 guys drink and still remain standing after that? And the attendants there expects to get tipped for opening your beer bottles! But overall, enjoyed the show. Anyone planning to go there soon?

Last year I come to danok the rate still accepted.

Around 2000-2500 / night.

If now rate like you said, it so expensive to cheong here

Was recently at Danok over the weekend when it turnout it was some water festival, Songkran; where everyone splashes water even if you are not dressed for the event. So, had a hard time heading to the hotel we booked. Unfortunately, it was fully booked and no rooms are available. Here is when the local opportunist prey on desperate tourists! Let's name this guy, Jack. He has helpful bringing us around town looking for rooms. True enough, we found one not too dodgy, but had to pay for 1000Baths! Normal room on off peak periods cost about 700Baths. This is where the rippin off begins (but who's complaining since we had a place to stay).

Soon after getting us settled in our rooms, Jack advise us not to go out till sun down (as to not get wet by the Songkran party). Instead, he offered to bring some gals for booking. We rejected a few and thanked him for hs effort. But he seems persistent. So, why not, since we had nothing much to do, and he got a few stunners in. We were happy and started asking for the price; LT 4500Baths! He mentioned quality is good and only 500Baths is his commission for his effort. We nodded in agreement and paid him. Here's the catch: both Jack and the gal is wet from Songkran. Thus, asked us to wait for her to bath and get properly dressed. After about 2hrs wait, Jack and the gal is no where to be found!

Danok was not what it used to be. Too much influx of rich people raising the market.

Stayed at the Sattit Grand View and enjoyed the massages which are available on the 2nd floor within the hotel.

I was informed by a local guide the most of the girls operating in massage parlours, clubs and kareoke pubs are not natural Thai girls. They consist of mostly Burmese, Viets and PRCs etc and are holding no valid "working visas" and most of them would disappear and go into hiding if there is news or information of a police raid in operation.

Most of them took their chances and continue to operate and flourish due to demand for their services. I was surprised when I was quoted something like 3, 500 bhts to 5, 000 bhts for a overnight long time escort. The sad stories of some members or patrons who got fleeced by the girls who failed to return to them half way into the night are usually patrons who refuses to pay the current commanding rates I have mentioned and they were short changed by some operators who are desperate to grab whatever cash they can hold on to after being hard bargained for to conclude a fair deal.

Crazy high prices are quoted because most patrons are too high on alcohol & estacy and are desperate to have a good GFE time as the place is very close to the Malaysian border (homes).
