A nice enough club for the size. Worth a look in you are after something quick and you are in the area and needing something to do.

On Mondays if you pay 39e full price entry then you gets entry for that day and another entry to use in the next several weeks to use at leisure. This is a good deal. And sometimes the Monday line up can be impressive for the size of club.

Ah, a hotel, that explains the quality of the rooms. I visited on a Saturday, and the next day when I was at Oase girls told me that due to a Messe that Oase had been packed with guests on Saturday night. At Rom you would never have known a Messe was going on in Frankfurt, it was anything but crowded. But maybe Darmstadt (Sharks, Rom) is not a destination for Messe-goers anyway. public transport made rom a good option. 45 minutes travel time from frankfurt hauptbahnhof (20 to darmstadt, switch trains then 22 to altheim). it's my favorite kind of fkk tourism: from the platform at altheim it's a 10 to 15 minute walk through a village of half-timbered houses, ideal for snapping photos to show those back home interested in your germany trip.

from the outside rom doesn't evoke the glories of its ancient namesake, just a boxy 3-story building. inside, the entry area is nondescript and the locker room and showers are small. the main lounge / bar room isn't distinctive, though the seating is comfortable and well placed for checking out the girls (mirrors help too). further in the setup improves, with a room featuring the whirlpool and two large cushioned seating platforms, one with video projected behind it, when i was there showing a tropical fish scene (which was soothing, but it might have been more fun with porn). there's also a nice shower room and sauna in this area. beyond that is another small sauna and then it gets very plush (clearly a new or refurbished area) , with wide futons and couches perfect for snuggling up with a new acquaintance, in a room with a fireplace and television. there's also a pool and patio for the warmer months. overall, the club feels like it's about the same size as mainhattan.

in an age of ever-increasing fkk entry fees in hesse, rom represents superb value. they have a no-frills option at 19 euro that entitles you to just two towels, plus the buffet. drinks cost extra, and while i'm not a big alcohol drinker while fkking i like to get a lot of soft drinks from the bar, and those would cost extra under the cheapie entry charge. so i decided to upgrade to the 39 euro entry which includes all soft drinks plus two beers, unlimited towels and a bathrobe. even with this splurge, a 40 euro entry charge near frankfurt seems incredible. (one area where you see the impact of the lower price is the food, which is kind of meager before dinner time, and then nothing special, but it was enough to fill me up). when i saw the prices on the website i had wondered what that would mean for the quality of the girls. i'm happy to report that rom has a pretty good selection. there's some room for improvement, and the number of girls is not large (i saw maybe 20 girls, maximum, on my visit) , but i was pleased.
