Hi Gents,
First time here. Going on a solo mission to Jaco 7/11 to 7/17. Going to start in SJ for one night then swing to the beach. Staying at the Copa. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, if anyone is planning on being there, let me know. I will be sure to add all of the gory details when I return!

Jaco Monger Report Summary.
San Jose to Jaco.
Took a minivan from the Hotel Del Rey down to Jaco for $120, the going rate there. If you book a day or two in advance the lady on the tour desk will find others to share the bus and the cost with. Not too many though not with my long legs. On the journey down to Jaco after 30 minutes or so you notice the climate change as it begins to get much more humid.
Claritas Sports Bar and Hotel.
We were staying at Claritas for 3 nights Saturday to Monday. We arrived in Jaco mid afternoon and our rooms at Claritas were comfy, firm bed, aircon, fan, sat TV, empty fridge and safe. The bar is lively and does pretty good food. At night it is quiet and easy enough to get some beauty sleep.
Claritas is right on the beach and has its own pool. One disadvantage is its right at the end of the beach so at night when heading to the Beatle bar need the bar to call up a cab. This only sets you back 1000 CRC though.
At weekends lots of Ticos and Ticas hit Jaco to party and chill. Quite a few in Claritas on Saturday night our first night and there was a local band singing that were very good. We were too exhausted from our mongering in Del Rey and lack of sleep to venture out that night to the Beatle bar and crashed out. So now we had missed Friday and Saturday night proper in Jaco.
Sunday walked the entire beach both ways and relaxed in Claritas bar. The Beatle bar not open until 6pm, there is not really any daytime mongering options in Jaco although a few Ticas do show up in Claritas. Claritas is very laid back and some friendly Americans also on vacation. Not too many though as the low season, pretty quiet really although the weather was great. Did not see any surfers which I was expecting. The owner is an American owner and tells us a few years back the Beatle bar was open during the day but recently has been a bit of crackdown on the P4P scene as it attracts more family types. Also tells us the Beatle bar is up for sale if we are interested.
Beatle Bar, Jaco.
So that night we head to the Beatle bar. Costs 5, 000 to enter but they stamp your hand so can come and go all night. Its stays open until 2AM. Inside very dark, I could see many ticas sat along the sides but due to the lightning hard to tell from a distance if they were hot or not. Have a couple latch onto us at the bar but not like them and my one her breath stank!
Later I'm sat at the bar watching a gogo dancer on stage and this very pretty early 20. S Dominican girl comes up to me but she had big fake tits. She then introduces me to her sister, who had small natural tits, fantastic hips and very pretty. This one just kept looking at me like she really liked me whereas with the other it was purely business.
I was trying to negotiate a threesome, as they were sisters but with one condom! They not having it though so took the sister for 100 USD. If the first girl had not introduced her to me, would have never noticed her. Like she appeared out of thin air. Its just too dark in there. So take her back to Claritas in a taxi. Sign her in with the security guard and take her to my room.
She strips off and when she gets to her underwear I shout "STOP!" at this point I got to take some pics (see link below). She looks hot. She puts some music on an dances for me with me holding and kissing her hips. She lays on the bed and loves her little titties being sucked she is really responding. I pull those little panties off and have to go down on her pussy, she really enjoying it. And so it continues like this I try to kiss her but she won't open her mouth and tells me no kissing. Not quite the girlfriend experience, but not bad all the same. She aged 22 and from the Dominican and already got two kids to support. She shows me some pics of all her family on her mobile. I really must visit the Dominican on my next mongering trip.
The last day we get a bit drunk in the day and lay low that night in Claritas which was alot quieter on a Sunday as all the locals have gone home by now. Really enjoyed my stay in Jaco, could have spent a few weeks there just not doing much at all. Would definately return. Got a minivan back to San Jose to spend our last few nights in the Sportsman lodge. Lots of expats from the USA looking for business in the bars, tours, deep sea fishing and taxis to the airport or San Jose. Quotes for a lift back ranged from $75 to $100.

When I would try to get these tricks to spend the night they would always say they have kids and no babysitter. Thats bullshit. These tricks are shipped to the island to make money and they send money home to the momma who has the kids. The reason they don't want to do TLN is that they can make more money sticking to their hourly rate.
Also most of the guys are married suburbian guys who don't mind over paying to bed a hot latina for a quickie. So its a perfect match. Thats why DR isn't for me. From what two wingmen told me Hotel Little Havana has girls that will spend more time with you if you are staying there. Plus when I was there drinking at the bar the girls had a more friendly vibe (non business).

Of course the chicas like when you are staying at the Del Rey- it saves them time and they can get down stairs as quickly as possible. Do an experiment the next time you are hang out at the DR. Time the chicas going up in with a guy, and come up with an average. I think the DR encourages VERY short sessons, compared to taking a chica to another hotel. It just encourages them to stay in the "I am a rent a pussy" mindset.
Getting them offset and treating them a bit less like a hooker will go a long way into getting a longer GFE session, IF that is what you want.
Yes, they are working, but the more we do to throw it in their face the more likely they will treat you like a trick, try to get you off quickly, and move on to the next.
If you are someone who digs one hour sessions- the DR is a great place. If you prefer a few hours sessions with multiple pops and dig GFE, I think staying at the DR is not the best move.
I would much rather spend 100 bucks on a three hour session then 70 bucks on a one pop hour (which often turns out to be less) are. In the long term, far more cost effective, if that is a big consideration, and YOU get to decide when she leaves. I would rather pay the extra twenty or thirty bucks and be in total control of the time and the number of times I have sex with a chica. Over a week trip, that adds up to a very small percentage of the total cost, and leads to far better session.
I stayed at the DR for two nights of one trip and one night of another, and glad I had the experience, but for my money, I far prefer the Sportsmans or La Amistad (or even the Castillo).
IMHO.

Great hotel for the $$. Fun place. Girls there day and night. Good food. Walking distance to Beatle bar. Rooms a little ratty and musty smelling but ok to sleep in. FYI. The beach sucks there if you have not been there before. Water is not that clean and beach is a black type of sand- when you come out of the water you are coated with this black crap all over you.
If you are looking for blue water and sandy beaches this is not the place to go.

You might check out a couple of places that I like. The Sportsman's Hotel, or the Castillo Hotel. Both within walking distance from the gulch and the Del Rey (about 7-8 blocks). But don't walk it at night. Take a taxi. To be on the safe side.[/QUOTE]I'd seen mixed reviews about the Delray Hotel but I went ahead and booked it anyway. I paid about $85 a night. The rooms were basic but clean. Surprisingly, they didn't smell smokey which is a huge concern of mine and I was relieved to find them quite acceptable. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Undoubtedly, you can probably find a nicer room with lower rates somewhere else but remember You will have to pay cab fees back and forth, perhaps even multiple times in an evening. However, the girls are much happier if you're staying in-house because of the time and convenience factor so you will save at least $20 on your negotiated "rental" (LOL) So you will more than make-up for any cost savings on off-premises room rates. From a security standpoint you can also get down to the main walking street without going through any overly risky areas. The Sportsman is only a few blocks away but you have to go through a more treacherous area.

Was just in Jaco last week. I stopped by the Los Four Grandes Hotel to check it out. A really nice older man (guess he is the manager. Forgot to ask) showed me several rooms and they all looked really nice to me. He quoted me $50 per night. I really wish I had stayed there instead of Claritas. I'll address Claritas in a separate post.
Many people have asked, so here is the official contact info:
Phone number: 2634-2215.
Email: beatlehoteljaco@racsa.co.cr
The real name of the hotel is The Beatles Hotel, but they still have "Los Four Grandes Hotel" on their sign. I guess the Beatle Bar bought the hotel?
I told the manager he needed a website and it just so happened that he was meeting, at that very moment, with two guys who are going to create his website. One guy was from Arizona and the other was a Costa Rican.
If your primary goal is mongering, this seems like a perfect spot. But I definitely would not go to Jaco primarily to monger. Whatever you think of San Jose, it is a hundred times better than Jaco for mongering.

I can't wait to see the Pacific ocean for first time. I assume it is a beach you can relax on in the daytime? Even if a bit dirty and not really good for swimming. On the Sunday will take your advice and travel further along. Surely Jaco beach can't be worse than Pattaya?

Maybe some useful tips for you. The Del Rey Hotel is a great place for a guy to go to look around, see all the working gals, meet other mongers, and just in general hang out.

Jaco is a good choice to go to check out the beach scene. But the beach itself is not much for swimming or girl watching. They simply do not clean it up or maintain it like we are used to seeing in American beaches.
Have a good trip.

Posts: 145Considering CR SJ and Jaco Mid May
Stevewxly,
This is very helpful, thanks. I'm considering a few nights in SJ staying at the DelRay, just for the experience as a first timer there. I like to write up about such experiences. Then based on your recommendation bus down to Jaco for a long weekend, returning to JS maybe Monday and staying last few nights in Sportsman lodge. Any thoughts?

Your first time in CR. Huh? Next trip do a little trip planning and research then you won't have to go to the crappy beaches, eat in the shitty restaurants, over pay for everything, and only find action at the Beatle Bar in Jaco. As there are perhaps 6-7 other joints where one can find P4P gals in and around Jaco. And have fun.
I have only paid $ 100. 00 USD to get laid in CR once. In my life. That was.......like you. ..... on my first trip and I simply didn't know any better.
Now I know where to get it for around $ 25. 00 (an hour) in San Jose. And how to find Nooners in Jaco for around $ 30-40. 00 a pop.
But I have been going now for 10 years and have a little "mileage on my tires", and a couple of "spares in the trunk"
