Can you advise if DFK and DATY are generally at the same ratio for a given provider or are those menu items more commonly available? Sounds like GFE is also a hit or miss proposition.

Do you consider that the rate can be negotiated down to the $120 range even if the three menu items above are negotiated to be included? I am anticipating that the answer is no, that they actually result in the rate being on the high end of $150 instead, but wanted to ask anyway. Thanks much.

Summary.

This first trip of mine to Jaco was enjoyable enough for one visit but did not leave me with a strong desire to return there for primarily mongering purposes. In my opinion, the main advantage of Jaco over San Jose (SJO) and other popular mongering destinations in the Western Hemisphere is the more pleasant and interesting environment for a multifaceted vacation for those that enjoy outdoor activities. The average visual quality of the talent at the Hotel Cocal was clearly higher than that of SJO and arguably as good as I have seen in any non-Colombian or non-Brazilian talent pool. I found some good performers, but the overall atmosphere at the Cocal, the attitudes and behaviors of many of the chicas, and the quality of some of the service often left much to be desired and yielded relatively low value for the relatively high prices. If and when I return to Costa Rica, it would probably be for a multifaceted and outdoors-centric trip, and I would probably do most of my mongering in SJO, rather than Jaco.

I've been mongering in Tijuana for several years and log over 150 hours / week in Tijuana so I'm getting kind of tired of the scene and looking to explore new places in Latin America, specifically CR and Cartegena. I've been to various destinations in Mexico and MDE. I've been researching CR but from what I've been reading I don't understand why mongers would go there. For simplicity purposes all monetary amounts shall be written in USA Dollars. $200/ night CROC hotel rooms? $150 standard price for a Cocal puta? WTF? Why go to a third world country to monger and pay first world prices? Why are prices in CR so inflated? The average low-skill worker in Tijuana earns roughly $12/ day. And for a puta to earn $80 in 30 minutes in my opinion is too much. But at Cocal top shelf putas won't budge from $150?

In Tijuana the mongering scene is concentrated basically on one block. Hong Kong Bar is the undisputed king and on weekends you'll see 300+ putas packed in its 3 stories, weekdays maybe 120. Adelita's will have 180/80, Tropical 100/50, Chicago Bar 80/50, Las Chavelas 80/50 and there are maybe 12 other lesser bars on the block. Altogether, on a Fri / Sat night you'll have over 1500 bar putas and another 150 paraditas all within a block. Top BG's quote $100 but they'll often go for $80. Most BG's quote $60-$80 and will go up for $10-$20 less. Paraditas offer quick, basic service for $11. For $20 their menu will expand. For American mongers you don't have to deal with international flights to get to Tijuana. Just fly into San Diego and take the $2. 50 trolley to the border. And if there's a situation where you need to get back on USA Soil, the border is a $2 Uber ride away. A decent basic hotel room is $25, better rooms run $55 and on Mondays and Tuesdays, Hotel Cascadas offers 80% off rooms for VIP members. You get a spacious decked-out jacuzzi suite for $20.

So let's assume the quality of chicas is roughly equal between Tijuana and CR. The cost of a session is far less in Tijuana along with expenses. I'd like to hear from mongers who've experienced both Tijuana and CR and weigh in on the advantages of CR. I'm willing to bet CR has more things to see nature-wise like beaches, mountains, jungles, etc. Tijuana is on the coast too but the beach isn't that great. But aside from the scenery of the landscape, what makes CR preferable over Tijuana as a mongering destination? I want to go, and probably will, but I'd like some input from veteran mongers of both locations.

I am sure others can / will elaborate but, the simple answer is you are paying a cheaper price because by in large the quality is less and so is the time. The girls working in Jaco are much prettier than the girls working in Tijuana. Also, although some Jaco / CR girls are clock watchers you are much more likely to get better service, for a longer period of time, GFE and for a small upcharge TLN. I went to Puerto Galera in the Philippines, which is both a top scuba diving spot and also has a significant mongering hub in the neighborhood of Sabang. The diving there is great; the mongering. Not so much. I had low expectations for the quality of the service, based on what I had read about Sabang in the "Other Areas" section of the Philippines forum, and what I found was along the lines of what I read there. Check out my trip report in the Philippines forum for more details.

Other possibilities in the Philippines that I have been considering include Cebu and Subic Bay, which have both good diving and good mongering, and Dumaguete, which is primarily a diving spot that also has some mongering.

I think that there is a volcano that one can visit as a day trip from AC. Most of my nature exploration thus far has been underwater, so I am not yet as familiar with the terrestrial nature attractions of the Philippines. But my impression is that good nature and good mongering are often hard to find in the same place.

This practice came as an unpleasant surprise to me as well, as I had not seen any evidence of it in prior trip reports. Perhaps things have changed since your last visit a few years ago, as when the "Jaco Puta Union" made $150 the new initial asking price for many. It was quite consistent across the board with almost every girl with whom I negotiated; the only ones that did not want it on the nightstands were the ones that wanted to take it right away. I asked a few other guys, just to make sure that the chicas were not pulling my leg, and they reported similar results or even paid up front without question. Most girls (13 out of 15) did, however, respect the arrangement and leave it on the nightstand until the end of the session; only two violated that arrangement.

If I had known about this practice, I might have reconsidered my trip.
