The 7 11 bus station is named for the intersection where it is located.

Posts: 50Best option for travel to Jaco
My contribution to the Forum:
I think the bus from the "7-10 Station" in San Jose is the best way to get to Jaco. Not sure why it is called the 7-10 Station, but it is a new, 3-story modern bus terminal from which buses go all over the country (think Greyhound). The cost is 2395 colones (less than $5) and the buses are newer comfortable buses, and probably safer than a car on these highways.
Either way, once you decide you aren't going to pay the close to $100 taxi cost to get to Jaco, get yourself to the 7-10 Station. A couple put up a great travel website explaining the bus travel to Jaco:
https://mytanfeet.com/costa-rica-tra...to-playa-jaco/
From the airport, you could take a taxi (or Uber. But with Uber you would have to have internet running on your phone upon arrival), straight to the 7-10 Station. Best to use a public bus from airport to downtown. Myself, having been to CR a dozen times, I always take the public bus from the airport (like. 50 cents). All your have to do is walk out of the airport, go past all the taxi bandidos, and out on that main street you will see all the locals waiting for public buses which show up every few minutes. I still ask the driver "este va a San Jose?" because all the buses look different and it's hard to understand the markings on their fronts. You will need coins. Just change a $20 or $50 at the airport before walking outside, and get some coins, too. If you plan ahead, you could look at a map and see where to signal the bus driver to stop (probably good to get off near Mexico Hospital), then take any taxi (or Uber) a few blocks over to the bus station. That website above explains where to buy the bus ticket once you're at the station.
And believe me. You're WILL want to go to Jaco. I am here now, and I can tell you that what is going on now at Cocal casino beats the best that Del Rey ever was in its prime. I was there Tues. , Wedn why Thurs and there had to be 100 ladies there on any night of the week, with likely 300+ total coming and going over the night. Many were 8's and 9's.

Posts: 829SJO Airport to Jaco Options
What other options are there other than an airport taxi? Last I was in country earlier this year, I thought I saw a sign in the taxi loading area that said $80 to Jaco. Is that still the case? Does anyone know of reputable transportation from the airport that is reliable and comfortable??
This is our first time going to Jaco. Figured after 10-years of hitting the HDR, it was time to see how the other side lives.

Thinking about a trip to Jaco in mid-Janiuary, but Cocal is booked. Was wondering whether the Del Rey owned South Beach hotel is a good alternative and close to the action? Just want something on the beach that is girl friendly.

A few questions, I'm planning a trip on December 17th - 24th.
I've heard this is a down / slow time. Is that accurate? When does it get slow exactly? Will I have a few days to enjoy myself?
Also, the last and only time I was in CR I was lucky enough to go with a friend of a friend who knew the owners of the Bookmaker offshore sportsbook. We were taken care of big time. Huge house, car with driver / bodyguard, personal cook etc etc, I'm not so lucky this time and will be e on my own. I have read through the last 5-6 pages going back to 2015 but still have a few questions.
I like the beach / water but I understand Jaco is a lot more expensive, is this still the case? What are the "normal" rates at Jaco vs SJ? My previous trip I spent in Jaco and just drove through SJ so I am unfamiliar with SJ. I'm thinking of splitting my time between Jaco and SJ. Thoughts on this?
Also in SJ, what are the massage parlors like? Is FS available?
Are there strip clubs? Do you pay a bar fee for take out or do they have rooms there? Assuming you can play in strip clubs.
Last question is Edwardo49 a tour guide or just a member of the forum?
Thanks in advance for any help!!
