Jaco / Jaco Beach

Just thought I'd share. I will be visiting Jaco in a couple of weeks. Both Hotel Jaco and Hotel Cocal are booked up the time I will be visiting. I communicated with Hotel Jaco and asked for recommendations. One of the hotels they recommended is Hotel Amapola.

They state they are guest friendly and for a $10 fee guests can visit! Making a reservation is a bit of a challenge due to the language difference:

The Amapola is a small casino on the far end of town. I have been going to Jaco for many many years and have only seen an occasional girl there. It is noted for its nightly Texas Hold'them Poker Game run by a couple of Americans who had the game at the Cocal several years ago. I have never stayed there so I can't comment on the rooms. But it is very fairly remote and a good hike to the Cocal and the center of town. If you're a poker player the game usually starts at 6 PM and runs as long as they have 5/6 guys playing. They run an occasional tournament. Good luck!

Hotel Jaco looks great. So no trouble at all bringing girls from Cocal there?

I've stayed there twice and never had an issue. I emailed the owner prior to my first stay and he said that as long as they were reasonably dressed and well behaved they were welcome to use all of the hotel facilities including the pool with you. If they look like an obvious hooker then you just have to take them directly to your room.

But things can always change and its been a few months since I was there. I would email the owner to confirm. He is a gringo and has heard it before.

Obviously the Cocal is totally guest friendly and the center of the party scene. Downside is relatively small rooms for a very high price.

Canciones Del Mar is now Hotel Jaco. I have stayed there twice. Totally guest friendly and about 8 minute walk to the Cocal across the bridge. It really doesn't have a party atmosphere. Great pool and most rooms are suites with full kitchens and priced a lot less than the Cocal. I enjoyed my stay there.

I don't know any hotels except for the Cocal that have a significant "party environment" though I have never been to the other two hotels you listed.

My advice is stay somewhere else and walk to the Cocal or some of the clubs to party. Anyone you meet will accompany you back to your room.

I am looking for a guest friendly hotel that has a pool and a party scene.

I know AirBnB is an easier option and there are plenty that allow guests but my friend that is traveling with wants the pool and party scene.

Are there any pensions in Jaco like there are in San Jose? I haven't been to Jaco in about 7 or 8 years. The last time I was there the go to spot was the Hotel Cocal, or something like that, with a casino in it. You would meet girls poolside. Is there anything like the scene in San Jose in Jaco?

Stayed at the Best Western. They charged to bring in a girl. Normally, they're a family hotel, but we had the entire hotel for an event, so the let it slide.

I just got back from CR and Jaco Beach. The area is pretty safe to walk around even at night. Some solid bars and restaurants to explore. Went to hotel Cocal for lunch on the patio overlooking the water. Food was good, several chicas hanging around the place. We came back that night and the place was hopping! Plenty to pick between. Fun place with good music. Picked up a very hot chica and brought her back to the hotel for some fun. $150 and had a great time. Great body. Next night we went to Orange Pub and had bottle service. Started out a little slow, but really picked up as it got a little later. Again, plenty to choose from. IMHO, no real need to arrange anything on an app. I prefer to window shop to see what catches my eye that night. Hope that helps some of you going there. Have fun and stay safe.

Which town you in?

Tinder is best bet. If pay 2 play chics will find their way if you invite them.
