Thursday evening onwards are probably 3:1 ratio of girls to guys. Even at midnight, girls keep rolling in, the locals remarked with the turnout tonight. My experience 6-8 years ago was $80-$100 after negotiating down from $100-$150, but for 1-1. 5 hours with what I considered the hotter Colombian types of girls and usually when staying at the Cocal apts (larger building across from main hotel). TLN was typically $200 (~3 pops) after negotiating down from $250/$300. I was mid 30's fit and conversational Spanish then. Evidently didn't have the game of Sammon to get TLN for $80!

Does Hotel Jaco allow guests to bring guests into the room during the day?

Also I had a question about the Best Western. I've seen some contradicting reports. My girl and I are thinking of booking at the BW for various reasons, and will have a car.

If we pickup a girl in town and drive her into the resort ourselves, would that work? I know if the girls show up by themselves then they will not be allowed in. But what if I drive her in?

5,6 years ago going rate was $80-$100. All were toda la noche. There were plenty of Colombians, Nicaraguans, Dominicans who enjoy a nice room and breakfast. I would pay some $50 to accompany me for sightseeing in my car and after return one more round before I took a nap and get ready for the night. Sometimes I keep them for another night for dinner and dancing at a local club. There was a nice French restaurant on top of a hill with nice views of the city. Not sure if it is still there. I took them to arenal hot springs for a dip ogled by locals seeing bazookas on a Colombian.

Will be making a trip next May and will report on current situation.

Anyone have any information on traveling by bus to jaco? Booked a flight to CR in January and would not prefer not to shell out $100 for a taxi to Jaco.

Checked Hotel Jaco on my dates and they were booked but I asked on their WhatsApp and they allowed "guests" for those interested. Diamante del Sol Does does as well but only after 10 pm. Otherwise it's a good spot to book if it's 2+ travelers.

Also during my trips to jaco the massage places during the day didn't have anyone interesting. The girls were. Not great.

Beyond that, any tips for places to book for solo travelers at jaco? Prefer a quiet place but close to Cocal.

The girls at Cocal are hardcore, so TLN options are limited there. In 10 years of going to Jaco and Cocal, I've never pulled a girl from there. What I usually do is if the girl I like at Cocal is visiting the Cocal, I'll get her WhatsApp and arrange to meet her another day back in San Jose. I save at least $100 that way. My hotel of choice in Jaco is "Hotel South Beach"; a Hotel Del Rey run property that is girl friendly. Another act I've done is if I see a girl at Cocal that I've done before in San Jose, is to hit her up and see if she wants to come hang out at my hotel pool the next afternoon. Most girls will hop on some pool time, drinks at their tiki bar, some lunch and relaxing before they go back to the grind of Cocal later that night. A good majority of the girls at Cocal come from San Jose for a night with the hopes of big cash. Guess I'm just not a Cocal kinda guy other than to eye the candy and explore cheaper options. Back in the day, you used to find a hot girl at the HDR and take her to Jaco for the night. Now, I'd only do that with a girl I've had before, so I know what I'm getting.

Agreed. Jaco has changed and so has the Cocal. Ten years ago the Monkey and Beatle Bar were great places to find exception early twenty local Ticas to fuck all night for $150 max. The game has changed considerably.

As an alternative, I've been hitting up a couple of the massage parlors at the north end of town where the Ticas are more country and local. Many take the bus down to work and head home after the day shift around 5 pm ish. I've been fortunate since 2021 to find some hidden gems that I previously reviewed last year. A couple were willing to visit me before or after work for $200 for 2-2. 5 hours usually if I was up to it. Two shots. The downside in 2021 and 2022, I stayed in Playa Azul and there were a multitude of issues bringing girls in during the daytime. Last year rented house on the beach with some fishing friends. No problem. This year staying at Cocal for Superbowl. Plan to see what new talent is working at the massage joints. Good luck everyone!

Jaco is definitely over hyped, if you are US based you are better off border towns or San Jose or in Tamarindo with dating scenes. Jaco is nothing but expensive "cheap" behaving place. Much different experience for mongers who wants to play it safe, and in more safer environment. Cocal is a definitely a place to avoid especially late in night after 11 pm as good ones don't come until 8 pm and bad ones remain after 10 pm. If you like she-males and like to tame the rough ones and play it rough with $150/ hour and $40/ room head to Jaco, in general this place is run-down and not a great place for mongering even worth spending time to look in expensive Costa Rica.

You could pick up a chica like at 7 or 8 in the evening, go fuck, then go out to dinner (on the monger of course) or listen to some live music or whatever you wanted to do. Then go back to the room and fuck again and go to sleep. Then one more fuck in the morning before the chica left for home. Is this kind of action no longer possible in Costa Rica for that price? At the time I was going the standard hourly rate was $100 per hour, but you could often get a chica for less in the daytime like maybe $50 for a quickie to around $70 for an hour. I only did toda del la noche with my favorites, and at $300 for the entire package with dinner or an inexpensive night out thrown in, I considered it a deal.

Daytime hunting in Jaco is limited. That said, most of the chicas are from out-of-town and the daytime is downtime for them. Get numbers in the evening then Whatsapp them during the day. Most will be amenable to some cheaper action than standard nighttime prices.

Also is it right that in general, women in Cocal are quoting $300-500 and that marketprice is $150?
